I stream xbox through a capture card to my pc. Internet is not an issue, i have fiber at my house. My computer has an i3-8100(4 core) and a gtx 1060 3gb. I've been using nvenc but I'm hearing x264 is far superior at lower bitrates? I want to stay in 720 30 with a low bitrate so I don't turn down anyone with a slow connection. Should I be using the downscale filter lanczos or bilinear? Should I be using nvenc or x264? If 264, ultra fast, very fast, fast, medium? Just looking for somewhere to start really.

So, I bought a soft modded Xbox and I am currently working to clean it up. ROMS in the wrong spot, additional dashboards on the hard drive. A couple of issues I am having I hope someone can help with:
I am missing some Xbox game icons/cover art. I have most, but I would like all of them to have a consistent style. Some or the game case with the cover art, some are just a square icon of the game, and some are just missing
I am running the Xbox of component cables at a resolution of 720. Several of the emulators, especially the Nintendo one, have messed up graphics. Sound is fine, but it seems to not switch to a compatible resolution when the emulator loads. I do not have this issue if I run the Xbox at 420i.
Final Burn Legends does nothing. Screen goes black and then it reboots into the dashboard.
I might have some other things I fix later, but this is what I am working on for now!
What are the BEST xbox one mods for graphics and everything, an all in 1 if possible, i have an Xbox One S so its 1080p not 4K but itll still give me 60fps at 1080 or 720 i think
Hi, as the title suggest, I currently play fortnite on my laptop but all on low settings (1280*720) and get constant frame drops, it's just a really old potato. I was wondering If I plug my Keyboard and Mouse into my Xbox One will I be playing against PC players or other console users with the same controls?

I use my MacBook Pro 2017 with a dual core I5 2.3ghz and 8gb of memory. Apart from the normal issues that Mac generally has with running everything since most things are preferred for PCs. I'm getting a lot of dropped frames. I go through twitch inspector and the connection is solid with it not detecting many dropped frames but when I watch my replays or when I'm on watching the chat and seeing how my quality looks it generally seems lagged or delayed. Looking for any and all assistance here. I run an El Gato HD 60 as my external card. Im generally at about 70/80% CPU usage since being a Mac I have to run the Elgato game capture software as well as OBS simultaneously.
Looking for any stream veterans that can lend a veteran eye to the issue. I've tweaked a multitude of settings to no avail. Is it simply that I need a better set up and this is the max capabilities of my current set up? Trying to determine if this is user error or I should just scrap this laptop for a dedicated PC set up with lots of CPU. Just trying to tackle this with fresh eyes. Thanks for any help in advance! Currently organizing my schedule to free up more time from work so I can really dive into the twitch community. Hope to get to know everyone on here a lot better eventually. Will hopefully someday soon develop my skills enough where I can lend the same assistance to future streamers in my same situation.

Hello all I stream using my Xbox for now but with some of the problems I am thinking of upgrading. Two things I need are an elgato and laptop. I would prefer the laptop over the desktop but am open to ideas. First question is can you provide a few laptops that can stream the Xbox one gameplay. I would prefer it to stay around $500 if possible. Would one of these laptops be able to push our say 1080 at 60fps or is 720 at 60 FPS more feasible. Any info is greatly appreciated just trying to get a better understanding before I purchase any thing. Thank you!
Does anyone else have issues with 4k on their Xboxes? Whenever I play a h.264 4k file according to tautilli it is transcoding the video in 720. But if I play a 1080 video of the same file it direct plays. When the samung the Plex app decides to work it can direct stream the exact same 4k file. I am currently using a Xbox one s. I've been able to play 4k Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon prime videos on it. Also, when the video is playing on the Xbox, the quality settings have 4k selected. Is it possible my tautilli settings are wrong and it's showing that it's transcoding instead of direct play? Also everything uses a wired connection.

A couple of days I posted my problem that when I use slobs I only get 15-24 fps when I'm streaming.
Well i have tried both slobs and regular obs and i have the same problem. I even noticed that even when I'm not live my preview (if I'm not mistaken should have native fps to the game) is just as choppy as when I'm live.
Also I noticed that my CPU usage is around 1.5% no matter if I'm streaming or not. Which I dont think that's normal. It should at least be higher

My net speed is gig up and down Main monitor is 2k but I downscale my stream to 720
What I've done to try to fix:
Did reggedit to remove xbox game mode Tried both encoders. Did bit rates between 2500-6000 Have changed my fps to 30 and 60 Changed CPU usage from slowest to utla fastest and still CPU stayed at 1.5 %
Changed process to high
At this point I ready to wipe windows 10 not sure what to do to get obs and slobs to work.

The monitor I chose, after seeing numerous reviews, was the Philips Momentum 436M6VBPAB 43" 4K VESAHDR1000. In the last month, I'm struggling to make this damn HDR to work properly. The monitor is certified HDR1000 and is technically 8bit+FRC, but the One X regards it as having HDR 10 predisposition. Good, you may think. But there are problems with this freaking High Dynamic Range. Every time I run a One X Enhanced game (which supports native 4K and HDR), the monitor, after entering the damn HDR mode, shows all the colors undersaturated, like they were washed out; general brightness seems pumped up at the level that blacks almost become greys. I mean, if I turn off HDR mode the image looks 100x better. There is no point in trying to manipulate any HDR parameter both in the monitor and in game, because it still remains sh*t. Now, surfing the Internet and after staying at the phone with a Microsoft technician for three hours, I've come to know more about "color range". In particular, when HDR behaves like this, seems that there is a problem regarding the codecs the display and the console are using. I know that the RGB range code has to be the same. Some TVs seem to call this "HDMI black levels". Now, getting to my point: on the One X I got an option for selecting the color range. I can choose between "Standard (Recommended)" and "PC-RGB". The Xbox, if I chose the latter, says in a message that "PC-RGB" uses the full RGB spectrum 0-255 and should be used only on monitors that are naturally predisposed to use that, while TVs generally run on a Limited 16-255 range and. The problem is that on the Philips I don't have any option to change this Color range / HDMI black levels. At all. The HDR washed out persists in both cases of what I choose on the Xbox. Both Standard and PC-RGB still cause trouble to the HDR. Furthermore, when using the calibration tool, at one point the xbox asks me to calibrate brightness to see a particular icon in a box, but I can never see it at any brightness level. The console suggests "If you can't see the icon at all, try changing the 'HDMI black levels' on your TV and set the color range in the Xbox to the same". So now I just discovered that I'm not experiencing the best of the monitor even in SDR because it seems I can't see the last shades of black and white. Now, I wanted to ask you guys: - What is a way to determine if a monitor/TV is able to utilize the full RGB range/spectrum or not? - What are the advantages of the monitors who can use the full range against the TVs that run a limited range (in terms of graphics)? - Is it possible that my monitor is using an evenly different range than those two, since the HDR and calibration problems persist in both "limited range" and "PC-RGB" offered by the Xbox One's settings? - How the fuck is one supposed to know about these troubles before buying the monitor, if even Amazon itselfs advertises this shit as a "console gaming monitor" when the only console on the market capable of supporting both 4k natively amd HDR10 is the Xbox One X? - Even my housemate's Hitachi HD-Ready 720 TV has got an option to change color range. Should I kill myself after spending 1000€ and still dealing with those brainless monkeys of Philips assistance?

Hey guys it’s been bout 4-5 years sense I played any modded Minecraft. I used to play technic pretty heavy. Also a FTB pack... can’t remember for the life of me what one specifically.

Not looking to beat up a bunch of bosses or really to many adventures type things I’ll stick to my Xbox for that. Also always sorta wanted to play a cool sky block... guess I’ve still never done that.

I've been having problems with real time preview on my computer. I'm trying to get a setup where I play the Xbox One games from the preview, but I'm having stuttering and lag issues.
I have set my resolution to 720p and turned my quality to Best Performance. I have a high end graphics card (NVIDIA 1080ti), running Windows 10.
The HD60S is the only thing connected to a dedicated USB 3.1 card I installed.
I'm wondering if a quick fix might be to upgrade to a HD60 Pro or 4k60 Pro. The idea is that these might have more dedicated hardware and more bandwidth (direct PCIe connection) to show my image on screen.
Does anyone have any ideas about this?

edit: I found that leaving the resolution at 1080p instead of having the unit convert it to 720 actually improved my performance. I'm still looking to see if other options may help as well.
anyone have any experience with the DIamond GC1000 Capture card? Very few resources online and having trouble using it
I have it capturing but its taking my 720P input and putting it to such a small windows that with I setup a window capture its Showing at like 260P
EDIT: To clarify I am attempting to capture my xbox one. it can only do 720 due to.the splutter i have currently. using hdmi of coufse

I'm helping my brother put together a pc so he can stream his xbox. It's being built from mostly "spare" parts.
I5-6500 Rx 560 4gb gpu 16gb ddr4 ram 500gb ssd 500w psu Elgato hd60 pro capture card 200mb down 60mb up internet speed Xbox 1 X playing the new call of duty
Will this reliably stream his gameplay and possibly record simultaneously? He's looking for at least 720/60fps and will be using streamlabs obs.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks yall!
