Xbox one No Signal on TV

Hi everyone! I just need some help here, here's the case:

Some friend of mine gave me his Xbox One S that he didn't use anymore but when I took it back home it kept saying "No Signal" on my TV. I started searching on the internet for possibile solutions but nothing seems to work.

I tried booting in low res mode (TV doesn't even flinch), power cycling the Xbox, reset the TV, check the HDMI cable, change HDMi cable, checking the right input/output on both TV and Xbox. The HDMI cable works just fine with every other electronic devices and so does the TV and its hdmi ports (in fact I have a fire stick inserted and it works). I tried the Xbox on some friends TV (brand new 2022 4k Hisense) and it shows up just fine, and so does on another TV in my house after some attempts but still glitching. The problem is with my living room TV (Toshiba 2013 32l233d). I had this for maybe two months now and only 1 or 2 times it did show up on low res mode but I keept losing the signal.

It seems to me that the TV is not set on the right resolution/frame rate to accept the Xbox one idk, and the only way I could access it was through remote streaming on my pc or phone. In this way I tried changing the display option and enabling/disabling everything. I tried setting 640, 720, 1080, 1440, I tried enabling 120hz, 50hz video, 24hz video and every other options in the Xbox display table. Nothing.

I don't know what else to try. Thanks to everyone reading and trying to help 🙏

Xbox will occasionally just power cycle (softmodded)

I've got a softmodded Xbox PAL (which doesn't support progressive scan) I use enigmah + a Pound HDMI to run NTSC and get 720/480p on games (looks fantastic) Anyways, sometimes I'll be in the dashboard or in a game and the Xbox just power cycles and takes me back to dashboard ? This is causing another issue where its booting in B&W occasionally

Anybody know what might be causing it to do that?

Is the Xbox All Access Pass worth it?

It costs $720 ($30 a month, 24 months) for an Xbox Series S and 24 months of GPU.

Is it better to buy the console on its own ($300) then use the live gold conversion method? (can't remember the price per month using that method)

XBMC4xbox 3.5.3 using JX-720/MC360 crashing randomly.

So I've been busy this year and I just got back into modding my Xbox (to try insignia mainly) I want to use XBMC as my main dashboard since I want to use my Xbox as a network music player and not only play games with it.

So I reinstalled the last version of XBMC and installed my favorite skin: MC360, which had still the same issue as the last time I used it: text on selected boxes in the main menus doesn't appear (if someone knows something / has a solution about that bug, I would also be glad to hear it). So I went and tried JX-720 and I quite like it (even though I miss the metal look available in MC360 and the near-perfect reproduction of the 360's blades.) but I encountered an issue I did not have before (1 year ago that is, it also happen with MC360): when in XBMC, my Xbox WILL completely freeze after a pretty random amount of time and I have to reboot it manually and that kinda annoys me. This bug comes up whatever I do (listening to music, fiddling with the settings, watching a video, or just doing nothing), and the only thing I could think that may cause this is that XBMC is analyzing my music library which has over 15000 tracks but I'm not sure.

So, does anyone knows something about this? Sorry if my post is a bit messy, that issue is so random it's kinda hard to explain correctly and find even small hints of what it would be caused by.

Xbox Series X - 1440p Question

I got an Xbox Series S yesterday but whenever I play 2K23, it looks like it's in 720p or something. Wondering if I should just make the splurge to the Series X?

I have a 1440p 240hz monitor, I know it wouldn't go to 240hz but I would really prefer to play most of the sports titles in 1440p if possible. 720-1080p doesn't really satisfy me. I bought the Series S purely just to play sports titles such as NBA 2K, The Show & Madden and I assumed they would be able to do 1440p.

Maybe what I'm asking for doesn't exist since it's up to the game developers to include the 1440p option instead of 4K or 1080p no in between.

Stuttering in web browsers: this issue is driving me insane. Anyone got any insight?

This is going to be long since I am trying to provide as much info as possible. So I recently upgraded my PC, here's a list of the new machine:

• i5-13600kf (air cooled with a Deepcool AK620)
• RTX 3080 (Asus Strix 10gb)
• MSI Tomahawk Z790 DDR4 Wifi/Bluetooth
• 32gb (2x16gb) Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3600mhz RAM
• Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD (Windows is installed here)
• Corsair RM1000e 80+ Gold 1000W power supply

Basically, it's a pretty beefy rig which is why this issue is annoying me and making me miserable. In browsers I get this annoying stutter every few seconds while watching videos. I have been using this as a tester to really show my issue and it was not all in my head like I'd hoped. Scrolling also feels choppy.

I should mention I do have a 144hz monitor but when setting it to 60hz and playing the video I still got the stutter.

So today I decided to fire up my old rig (i5-8400, GTX 1660ti 6gb, B360m HD3 mobo, 16gb(2x8gb) T-force delta DDR4 2400mhz, EVGA 750w bronze power supply, 256gb kingston SSD (no HDD since I took them out).

I looked at that exact video, and low and behold, no stutter. It plays just fine, no hitches like on my new system. I've also been trying this test and again, on old system it was fine, no stutter, no hitches. Play it on my new system and it hitches and stutters.

Using the UFO test as example, what happens is it'll play just fine like normal and sudden hitch for a second then go on normally. This happens frequently, a few times a minute.

I use Firefox, but I have tried Edge and Chrome and while it happens less in Chrome the issue is still present. Edge is kinda garbage and I don't like it at all.

I will mention I have enabled XMP in BIOS, but I still had this issue even when RAM was running at stock. I have undervolted the CPU (mode 9 in MSI BIOS, default was 12). CPU runs at around 4.0GHz but fluctuates 4.30+ when just browsing. Some games do stutter as well, Overwatch 2 & Gunfire Reborn seem to be the only ones that don't have issues so far. That's a topic for another time, I'd really like to see if I can fix this browser problem if at all lol

I have 2 monitors, one 144hz one 60hz, the issue happens on both. I run Windows 10 on both PC's.

What I've tried:

• Used DDU to uninstall and roll back my GPU drivers from the latest to the last reported "best" one: 526.86. My old PC is running 527.37 though.

• Disabling Xbox Game Bar

• Setting power to maximum performance (separately Windows alone then also for GPU Nvidia control panel together) no change.

• Disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox, Chrome

• Disabling hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling in Windows, disabling game mode

What I've ruled out:

• It's not the DP cable or monitor since I used the same setup for the test on my old PC.

• I don't think it's a Windows update since both machines are up to date.

• Browsers are all up to date on both machines

• It is not thermal related as both CPU and GPU idle at 35-40 celcius

• Ran Windows memory diagnostic and found no issues

• Both PC's run software like iCUE, Synapse, Discord, Steam always so I don't think it's that? I have tried closing them but issue persists.

This issue could be caused by a million different things and I don't really know what else to do. Maybe I should just reinstall Windows but I want to keep all my files and such so I don't think that would help.

Is a 43-inch full HD LG Smart TV compatible with an Xbox X/S?

Two days ago I tried to purchase an used Xbox X. The guy selling the console came to my place and tried to make it work on my Smart TV (I purchased the TV last year). Hard though we tried, the Smart TV couldn't run the console software in an HD (720/1080 p) resolution, only in 640 p (which looks terrible). Sometimes the No Signal Sign appeared on screen (and we had to start again the console) and sometimes the TV displayed some kind of constant blink. So what's the problem?

We must bear in mind that the console is used... and maybe the problem was the console, or maybe the guy's high speed HDMI cable. That is what I think.

I can't think the problem is the TV since it is virtually new. It works perfectly, it even has an image option for games, the HDMI spots work fine (I tried them again with my computer last night just in case), I can binge-watch all streaming services without problem. Thus, I am pretty sure there is no way the problem is the TV. It's an LG, one of the best brands. I have also watched YouTube videos with a view to working out the problem, and I have seen people using less modern TVs in comparison to mine. I'd die if the TV was the problem, but it hadn't displayed anything weird before the guy tried to project the Xbox software on it. I still think the console had some kind of problem. I wouldn't either think that the TV is not compatible with the console.

What do you think? Please reassure me.

TV Buying Suggestion

Hi all,

Looking for some advice. My 12 year old 52" Sharp LCD is looking to be on the fritz (occasionally the bottom half of the TV gets fuzzy, and I have to turn it off for a few minutes to clear it). So, I'm going to have to buy a new TV this year, looking to buy 55" since that seems to be the standard size in the 50s, and should fit easily into the current mount. I haven't looked into buying a TV in a long time, so know very little except for some random things I've absorbed.

Usage Pattern: I have 3 things plugged in: XBOX Series X, Switch and SteamDeck. Those 3 will probably be upgraded as any newer model comes out within a year. This is the only TV in the house. During weekdays, it's on from about 6pm to 12am, and on the weekends, it's sometimes on the whole day, sometimes with stuff just in the background. Time split is about 70% watching TV and 30% playing games, although the game playing will likely increase a bit since the kids are getting older. We generally watch Netflix 1080p content, Disney+, YouTube or 720p/1080p DVD/blu-ray rips on Plex, all via the XBOX (do 4K TVs scale 720/1080p content well?). We don't have any cable/satellite provider for TV.

Other requirements:- Obviously, I want a better looking screen. I didn't have too many problems with the old one, tbh, but, I can tell that there's some difference walking around a Best Buy with our TV.- Whatever TV it is, shouldn't show too much glare, as I do have table lamps that will reflect off the TV (we don't turn lights off to watch TV).- I would like a screen that supports HDR, since I heard that it is pretty impressive, although I've never experienced it personally.- My TV doesn't support two way HDMI, which will be a nice quality improvement. I also know the benefits of VRR with my PC, so having that on the TV would be useful, since I know some games support it on the consoles. I guess that means it must have HDMI 2.1?- I am worried about screen burn in, as I have heard that may impact some new TVs, since we sometimes run out of the house, leaving the TV on by accident, or fall asleep in front of the TV.- Easy to clean and hard to see smudges. Kids put their fingers all over the screen all of the time.

- would like a decent viewing angle, as the way the room is laid out, it's possible somebody is sitting at a 60 degree angle

- would like good longevity. my last tv lasted me 12 years. Would like the new one to last at least 10. (I know there are no guarantees, but want to avoid bad build quality stuff).

Don't care:- I don't care about Smart TV features. I will not be hooking my TV up to the internet. Don't understand this trend at all. I want a simple OSD for switching inputs and adjusting screen settings, that's it.- I definitely do not want a WiiMote like remote control like my inlaws 5 year old budget LG TV. Do all LG tvs have this?- I don't think I care about 4K. I don't have too much 4K content except for some AAA games, which I don't play too much of. I guess most TVs of that size with decent screens are 4K now though, so, may not have an option. Our TV is between 12 and 20 feet from the sitting area, so, probably can't tell the difference at that distance.- Speakers or sound. I use a Sonos sound bar for audio atm, so don't care about sound quality.

- don't know how useful 120Hz is to me. I do all of my multiplayer gaming on my PC, and, am OK with 60 fps on console games (with newer games, seems like that's an issue already anyways). it seems like most new TVs come with 120Hz, but, I heard it has some weird stuttering affects for movies and tv shows, which i would like to avoid.

- don't care about stand. will be wall mounting.

Performance issue ?

Hello,

I have been wondering my low fps, and system utilization.

Ryzen 1600x Rtx3060 32gb 3000mhz 1000gb nvme

My cpu usage caps at 60% and gpu 90%, graphics settings and resolution makes no difference on cpu usage. I have tried almost every possible configuration of settings in all DX modes, and resolutions from 720 to 4K. Fps caps at 100 in training looking at the range and players, 220ish looking at the sky. Cpu usage is normally at 40-50%, peaks at 60%. For example, looking at the range at 4k, ultra textures and distance, sharpening enabled and everything else off/very low, i get 80-90 fps. Same settings 1080p i got 100fps.

Game mode is off, xbox game bar is off, cpu usage is 4-9% idle at the desktop. Passmark score is 14000 at Cpu test, 16500 at 3d gpu test. Am i missing something or is this just the way the game is right now?
