So I'm real new to streaming, the only reason I tried it was playing through RE2 earlier this year (my buddy wanted to see the game and I wanted someone there for moral support so I didn't get terrified lol). Anyhow, I streamed that game and I sometimes stream Elite Dangerous, Subnautica, or other stuff my friends may be interested in.
I've been saving my VODs to post on my youtube channel (for the memories), but when I watch them they are absolute garbage quality. I know my stream itself was very laggy the last time I streamed Subnautica too, and I was wondering if there are any settings I can tweak with the app, my xbox, or my router.
I'm wired in directly, and streaming right from my xbox. My internet speed isn't super great (50mbps D, 6mbps U), so is that what the problem is? This would seem obvious, but I have a friend from up in Canada that has the same connection or slower than me, and he can stream in 720 or 1080p with no problem. I can't even find settings to change what quality I want my stream to be on Xbox.
So yeah, thanks for any help, and sorry if these are noob questions that have been asked before; I google'd it first, but couldn't find any definitive answers so I figured I'd check the subreddit here.
