Upon spending a few day and nights playing D3:RoS on the 360, I rekindled my love for dungeon crawlers. I think D3 is far more fun on the console that it ever was on PC, I love the controls and couch CO-OP is amazing. So, to ride this wave, I'm curious what other games I may have missed in the years I've been away from console gaming. I will run down the ones I own and let's see if you guys can recommend to me some others that are similar. I love the top-down perspective and I love couch co-op, though the co-op is not mandatory.
Note, I know many of these are multiplatform, but I always tried to get the best version of said game. In the PS2 era that was usually the Xbox because it offered 4 player coop and 720p. If you have reasons to recommend an alternate version of the game, I'm all ears. Sometimes I own a specific version and I forgot why.
Let's assume all consoles are open in this conversation. I love/prefer a physical release as I like to collect on a shelf.
[Xbox]
-
Dungeons and Dragons Heroes
-
Baluder's Gate Dark Alliance 1 & 2 (LOVED these)
-
Fallout Dark Brotherhood
-
X-men Legends 1 & 2 (great games)
[PS2]
-
Champions of Norrath (LOVED it)
-
Champions: Return to Arms (LOVED it)
-
Gauntlet Dark Legacy (not sure why I have this instead of Xbox)
-
Gauntlet 7 Sorrows (ditto)
[360]
-
Marvel Ultimate Alliance Gold (LOVED this game, heard part 2 wasn't that great)
-
Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls (yielded an embarrassing amount of sleepless nights)
[PSP]
- Untold Legends (I have both games)
Thank you all
