This probably won't surprise some of you...
I tested this device with a few consoles (Xbox One and PS4), and 3 monitors - 2 21" VGA CRT monitors and one LCD monitor. I do apologize if any of you bought that thing, but it's likely you'll end up doing what I did - return it right away. The page, and the packaging of the product itself, advertises audio support. It doesn't have audio support. 1080p support is jacked, too. While it handles (soundless) 720p adequately, the 1080p picture was presented in a window with an "overscan area" - I don't know if I'm describing this correctly, but you have to scroll over with the horizontal position controls to see the right side of the picture, and the entire picture was never on the screen at the same time (and this was true on all the monitors I tested).
This device is probably intended just for laptops with an HDMI port, but I did hope that it would support a proper 1080p signal as advertised (and audio). I returned it.
This isn't a reflection on that particular seller. The seller advertised what's printed on the package. They shipped quickly, and they returned the product with no hassle so far (will take a week for it all to get refunded, I'm sure).
I'm looking for recommendations for a similar device, but one that does what it's supposed to.
