Like the title says, does anyone else have problems with the xbox one app and shows/movies not playing, random freezes, and it constantly saying the server is offline when its online and working on other devices.
The server has more then enough power to support the stream, 1gb down and 500mb up, 4 cores and 8gb memory. Most of the time the transcoder says throttled which at first i though was a bad thing but then i saw this support article saying its actually a good thing. Other then the initial start when it hit up to 50% cpu usage, during playback even with other users on its never runs over 5-10%. Watching my internet usage isn't even close to maxing out my upload speed.
After trying out several devices and everything working fine it appears its only the xbox that has problems. Yet, i can't seem to find any one cause to why the xbox has so many problems. Its only a few months old one s, has a 15mb connection and the streaming is set to 2mb @ 720 but whenever i start a video it either 1. does not do anything and just sits on the menu or 2. starts and then freezes constantly, not the usual small buffer i get in the beginning but stopping to buffer every 1-2 min the entire episode or it goes to the "this server is offline" error. When it says offline i can still access streams on other devices and even multiple devices at the same time on my crappy 15mb internet without any problems. It also does not matter the file type mp4, avi, and mkv all do the same.
Netflix, hulu, youtube, multiplayer gaming and local network streams (not using plex) all work on the xbox perfectly fine so i don't think its a problem with its actual xbox connection and leaves me wondering if its just the plex xbox app sucks.
Any ideas?
