FYI: You can use XB1 HDMI Passthrough to Play the Switch!!

Now before I get downvoted, let me explain my situation. My house only has 1 TV, it is usually shared between my parents and my brother.

Thus it would be really hard to play the Switch in TV Mode, and that's why I loved the portability of the switch.

However with the portability, sometimes I want to play on my bigger computer monitor. It was an old monitor but I had it set up before so that i could play the xb1 with it. I would plug the HDMI to VGA output and voila.

However, when I got the switch, I tried to plug into the same wire into the dock and dock the switch. Because the monitor is old, it doesn't output to 1080p, and showed a "resolution not supported message" (I think the max it could handle was 720p as it output the Xbox interface before.)

So I was stuck playing in portable mode until a friend mentioned that I could use my Xbox One to pass through to the monitor. So I plug the HDMI cable into the pass through to my Xbox and setup for "Live TV" on the Xbox and it works!

Now I can just enjoy it while playing on my bed!

Just to let anyone else know if they are in the similar situation. No need to buy a capture card and the input lag is very very small.
