I know, I know, this topic has probably been run into the ground by now. I apologize, but while I do have an understanding of the basics, that's about where it ends. I appreciate the help in advance.
I'll number them for convenience:
-
How does an original PS4 look on it? I assume the-same-to-slightly-better, but, you know, asses and making one out of you and me and all.
-
I wasn't very interested in the PS4 Pro before, but mostly because I wasn't going to be able to take full advantage of it. Now that I could, I'm taking it into consideration.
I can normally notice the difference between 30 and 60 fps, but not to the degree that I have a preference between the two. The only thing that bothers me is when something starts to chug below 30 (obviously).
So, if I were to get a Pro, I would almost certainly be using the 4K or the "enhanced graphics" options when available. Taking that into consideration, would a Pro be worth it? Do either of those settings make a noticeable difference?
-
Are there any trade-in programs for PS4 to PS4 Pro; anything at GameStop or other retailers? If not, in your opinion, what would be a fair price to ask for an original PS4 that has no damage and runs perfectly? I also put a 2TB hard drive in it, but if I don't trade it in somewhere, that will probably stay with me, and I'll put the 1TB from the Pro in it before I sell it. Unless that isn't possible for reason, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

How does the TV look with 1080i (and its bastard step-resolution 720p) cable? Again, I assume the-same-to-slightly-better, but...
-
How does the TV look with regular blu-ray? Does it upscale to "4K" (I know it's not true 4K) either cable or blu-ray, and does that look better, or should I turn that option off?
-
How's the TV's sound? I have a simple Bose set-up -- two small speakers and a subwoofer -- connected via optical out; I assume I'll still want to hook those up until I can upgrade?
-
I will be getting a 4K blu-ray player at some point. While I've never been an Xbox guy, she has owned the original and a 360 in the past. Since they are roughly the same price, I'm considering getting an Xbox One S to use as my 4K blu-ray player, so she could get back into that ecosystem.
Are there any downsides to using the One S as a 4K blu-ray player? Is the picture any lesser quality for any reason? Would it be better to get a dedicated 4K blu-ray player instead?
- Any other general info or advice I should know about the TV? Any preferred settings, or methods of calibration (that's something I've never done, but now that I'm going to have a nicer TV, I may)?
Or anything about the PS4 Pro?
That about covers everything swimming around in my head at the moment. I'm excited, and just trying to figure out what purchases I should make, with the holidays coming up and all.
Sorry about the length of this post, and I know it's not all exactly PS4-centric, so if it needs to be removed, I understand. Thanks again in advance for reading and/or replying.
BONUS QUESTION: I know this is probably a dumb one, but not having seen it in person, I don't know, for some reason it's just going over my head.
If anyone would like to get into it, what is the difference between how the 4K setting and the "enhanced graphics" settings of the PS4 Pro? If checkerboarding the resolution to 4K already makes it look better, what are the enhanced graphics?
I understand the difference between character models (for instance) and resolution, but I don't know, I just feel like I'm missing something here. If someone could explain the difference to me, I'd appreciate it. But I understand if no one feels like it.
