having audio issues while using ps3 with hdmi splitter and hd60s

so i got a hdmi splitter today to capture ps3 gameplay and for some odd reason when i enter game of any form i get a loud static noise then whenever i go to my ps3 homescreen or turn off my console no audio shows up there was only a couple times it would work before not working anymore my settings im running the xbox 360 thing since someone said thats a good thing to run for ps3 game capture with 720 fps and having audio run through hdmi for ps3 sounds setting im running it through hdmi and audio multi output off is there something im doing wrong or does gameplay audio not work on ps3 anymore would be very appreciated if anyone could help
