New developments on the green crystal Xbox I posted earlier.

Turns out it has a AppleX V modchip installed. The clock cap exploded and fuzed itself to the board with acid, it was really stuck when I pulled it off. After a little cleanup it still wouldn't power on.

I just swapped the power board with another one of my xboxes and it turns out it actually works still. Long-pressing the power button gives me an orange Xbox logo startup screen and then it goes to the regular Xbox dashboard like normal. What is supposed to be different?

In regular and long-press mode I went to change the resolution to allow 480, 720, and 1080 like my other Xbox, and it only shows Pal-60 as an option. As I'm typing this I tried my one single PAL game I happened to randomly have in my collection and never been able to play, and it boots up just like an NTSC game would. So that's pretty cool I guess.

Would that mean this is a PAL console then? Or has something been switched because of the AppleX chip?

I know nothing about modded Xboxes, I thought they were supposed to have different dashboards and stuff when long-pressing to boot the machine up.

Also, sorry if this is confusing, I'm just as confused myself.
