Choosing a router help Asus RT-AX88U or Netgear Orbi AC3000

I am not sure if here is the best place to ask, but if there is another subreddit it will be appreciated. I am looking to add a router to the provider modem-router from the internet provider. I have two options in mind, the Asus RT-AX88U or the Netgear Orbi AC3000.

I know they are quite different, but maybe someone with a similar setup can give me a hint. My house is not big, some 2,500 sqft with the modem in the front room (I cannot displace it to the center do it is a rented house and I don't want to be drilling the house). I have a Synology NAS 720+ which I have the idea to connect aggregating the ports to the router, but I don't know if is really necessary and useful for my profile use. My NAS is used mainly for my time machine backups, streaming from emby to one tv or two most of the time, and the local homebridge server and transmission app running all the time.

The main devices to connect are two laptop computers, two cellphones, two tables, xbox, apple tv. Which these ones are not connected all of them all the time. Additionaly, the smart devices managed by Homekit with two Homepods, two Sonos speakers sets, two smart home bridges each of them with some 10-15 devices connected and 5-8 wifi smart devices connecting to the router.

Knowing this, I saw that the Orbi is a good router but for the cost I rather wait for the AX version a couple of years, when I will have wifi 6 devices, but this will cover all the house and allow me to have good signal even in the garden and ethernet ports for the apple tv and Xbox. While the Asus AX88U, it is time-proof, so for the following years I don't have to worry about that, with link aggregation for the NAS and I read that is has a good signal for big houses, with the plus of the dedicated VPN devices with the merlin firmware.

Sorry if I wrote too much, but I wanted to give a good panorama of my situation to see if it could help due I have been undecided for close to one month seeing the plus and cons of the different routers. Thanks in advance
