We need an expansion soon

Gonna be real with Ivory tower and ubisoft, we need a expansion for the crew 2. The updates we are getting are good and all, but we need something big like Wild run and calling all units that the crew 1 got. Even a map expansion would be amazing, there so much that can be done with the crew 2 i fear BlackPanthaa is right and their waiting for PS5 and Xbox 720 so we have to buy the new version of the game to even get the expansion.

Updating the Ms dashboard on a softmodded console

Sorry if this is a noob question but I really did try to look for answers and didnt found a definite answer. My xbox is softmodded with the evox dashboard. Everything works fine Im able to launch msdashboard properly. However I came across some games that are not in fullscreen and found out that I actually need to change it in the ms dashboard via the video setting option. Thing is my ms dashboard has probably never been updated cause all I can change in the video tab was normal letterbox and widescreen which is a far cry from other msdashboard that u can set it to 480 p 720 p and 1080i. So is it possible to update it somehow?

65" 2019 TCL 6 series or 2019 Vizio M Quantum

I have my choices down to these 2 televisions. I cannot decide. I watch a lot of sports streamed from the internet and I play video games from my Xbox one. I also watch from streaming apps like HBO Go, Hulu, and Netflix as well as 720 and 1080 content from Plex.

In terms of use it probably goes.

Sports > Video Games >= Television/Movies

TV and video games switch usage depending on my mood but sports are a constant.

I cannot choose, please help me. I know M Series can have bad upscaling but the TCL can have bad motion and crushing blacks.

Want to upgrade old Lenovo idea center k450.

I have an old Lenovo idea center k450, this model came out in 2013 and I bought mine in 3/14. It was great when I got it, but I haven't used it in a few years due to very loud noise it was making... I recently moved and took it with me, cleaned it out (so much dust!) And reset it when it wouldn't take any of my passwords. It no longer makes any noise, my guess is dust build up caused it, though it doesn't make much sense to me.

I've gotten a few new games and Xbox game pass, because I bought an Xbox one s last year, and this computer is having issues. The biggest issue it has is Forza horizon 4, which has its own benchmark test. The GPU is the bottleneck, 14fps, everything else is around 100fps capable, the test claims. I've tried running catzilla benchmark test, because it's free, but it crashes at the same test, which is the one after the you render test, I forget the name of it. It never gets over 30fps at 720 resolution or whatever.

So, base specs as listed on the best buy website:

Processor: Intel core i5 4th Gen, 3.1ghz base and 3.2ghz boosted.

Ram: 8gb ddr3. Claims it's expandable to 32gb. I want to add another 8gb stick.

Gpu: Nvidia GeForce GT 635, 2gb. This thing sucks...

It has "3 pci express x1", I don't know what that means.

Storage: 1tb data hd (7200rpm). I want to boost storage as well, it has another spot the same size as the one this uses.

I've looked around for parts, I've found...

Gpu: gigabyte Nvidia gt 1030 of 2g for $89, and msi GeForce GT 710 2gb for $53. This is the price range I'm working in, trying to keep it under $100 and get the best I can.

Ram: looks like the only option on Amazon is Patriot viper, around $25 for one stick, around $50+ for 2.

Storage: Samsung 860 Evo 500gb 2.5 inch sata 3 internal ssd. $58. 1tb for $88

I'm not sure what's going to work best with this setup. These are simply what I've found that appeal to me in price and features. I know nothing about modern GPUs.

As far as usage, I mostly game and watch video. I also browse the internet, but that isn't intensive on this computer. I just want to maintain decent fps with 720/1080 resolution. I want at least 30fps on more intense games. Forza is currently unplayable even on lowest settings, even fallout 4 doesn't want to run on highest settings anymore. I used to run every game at Max settings and furthest rendering distances I could choose and had no issues.

I should note I don't play many games expect for freebies and game pass games. I don't play much in the way of competitive games, especially shooters, but I'd like to be able to. I'm not expecting any miracles from this machine. I do plan on building a new computer, but not for at least another year or so unless this machine kicks the bucket beyond repair or costs for upgrading exceed a new build. Which I guess everything is serviceable and upgradable in this thing?

Sorry for the undoubtedly huge wall of text, I just wanted to make sure I got as much information into this post as possible. Feel free to make recommendations, the parts I've found are simply what I've found. I don't want to spend more than $250-300 total. If I get 3fps from spending an extra $50, I don't want it. I want budget performance that will hopefully last at least a couple years more.

anyone else encounter this

So I got a new monitor that is 5120 x 1440 and had to change around my output stream from 1280 x 720 to 2560 x 720. where I am encountering a problem is that one of my viewers is trying to watch my stream through his xbox and he says all he sees is a green box yet my friends that drop in on the stream are telling me they can watch it fine on their pc's. I was wondering if anyone has encountered this as well?

Can’t stream 1080p

Hey everyone. Names maverick and I’m new to streaming! I use to stream on mixer awhile ago at 1080p off my Xbox one, I just recently came back and it maxes out at 720.... my internet is good I have 102 up and 112 down speeds, should have no problem streaming at 1080p.. any ideas? Why does this games graphics/textures suck

720 p on Xbox and 900 on PS4. 1200p on pro and 1440p on one x. I play on an X so the resolution is decent but the textures suck, look so blurry, takes forever to load in.

Frame rate is ass too. Need an update for that ASAP.

This game is brilliant. Had such a blast playing it But the visuals for this game is poor compared to any other title I’ve played in the last 2 years.

As a console tenno I wanna see the team that brings the warframe updates to console and just hear how they do it and what part they are playing in a PS5 port and xbox whatever (I genuinely don't remember it's name, is it xbox 2? Xbox 720? Idk) I feel it would be a awesome chance to see and connect with these heroes who pull all nighters sometimes to push an update to cert!

Id like to see some comparisons of Stadia latency

At different resolutions. 720 vs 1080 vs 4k. I'll likely be playing on my Pixel 3 or my computer monitor. 4k isn't really necessary or doable, so can I voluntarily go down to 720 and pick up meaningful ms on latency? One review/test showed 40-60 more Ms of latency over XboxOneX.

xCloud vs. Stadia

Hey guys,

I have read the posts concerning the inclusion of Game Pass in xCloud, which is admittedly a huge advantage over the 2019 catalogue (and overall cost) in comparison to Stadia.

BUT!

Don't forget:

• For now, Microsoft uses actual XBox One (S) motherboards in their server rigs.
  Which means: 1.4 TFlops of computing power vs. the 10.7 TFlops that Stadia has.
  This means mostly 720-1080p / 30fps vs. 4K / 60fps.

• Their server infrastructure is way inferior to Googles', which likely results in more latency.

Those are at least two killer points for me. Microsoft is now trying to compensate the much lower Xcloud performance with a bigger catalogue to choose from. I guess we're all winners now. People can choose what they want.Performance vs. number of games.

Anyone else having DVR issues?

My buddy and I are both having the same issue. I have the old Xbox 1 and he has the Xbox 1 X. Both are only recording 3-4 second clips. I tried all of the normal things; clearing space, deleting old DVR clips, hard reset, changing from 1080p to 720, etc. I think this is a Modern Warfare issue, not an Xbox issue. Anyone else having this problem or know of a solution? Game is super fun, would love to be able to record multiplayer clips to share with buddies.

Lagging when streaming

Hello In the past 2 months I have had lagging only when streaming.

When I run my game by itself, I do not lag however as soon as I start my stream or within 3 minutes of it starting, it locks up and drops mixer completely. Any suggestions?

I've had my ISP out here repeatedly and they do not believe it is them. They believe it's a mixer issue.

BRIEF GUIDE: Moonlight (nVidia GeForce Experience / GameStream) free in-home/over-internet streaming, better than Steam Link! With Steam Big Picture trick in guide!

If you've got an nVidia card (required), this is the best streaming experience.

​

Why is it better than Steam Link:

• Created by nVidia with a proprietary protocol for lowest-latency gaming. nVidia has been accused of throttling performance of competing apps, which is one of many reasons why nVidia's solution has lower latency.
• Only solution that supports HDR streaming. As long as your receiving device reports that it supports HDR, the GPU goes into HDR mode. Looks amazing to see proper HDR without needing any HDMI cables.
• Supports HEVC (H.265). Steam link does that too.
• Supports up to 4K @ 60 FPS. Steam link does that too.
• Supports up to 120 FPS, actually. But compatibility depends on the receiving device.
• The picture quality is slightly better than Steam Link.
• The encoding in this streaming protocol is incredible. There are no micro-stutters, unlike Steam Link which permanently micro-stutters (looks like low framerate and made me motion-sick) when I was playing Red Dead Redemption 2 on a 100mbit wired connection via Steam Link. With nVidia's GameStream, the gameplay is perfectly fluid. (And I'm using a RTX 2070, so it's not my graphics card. It's Steam Link that isn't good enough.)
• Automatically optimizes the desktop resolution for the receiving device, to avoid wasting more bandwidth than necessary.
• Latency example on my freaking PHONE (on home WiFi AC/N network): Frames are received in 0.3-2 milliseconds. The received frames are decoded on the receiver device (by the PHONE hardware) in ~25ms, which would be even faster if my receiver was faster. You can see all this by enabling the statistics overlay in Moonlight. So that's a total latency of less than 30ms, on a phone, over WiFi! Now imagine what your Android TV/wired device with powerful decoder hardware can do! You can expect 10-30ms gameplay! All of which is fast enough that most musicians could record music with that kinda latency (15ish-30ish ms is pretty unnoticeable even for a musician trying to follow exact timings). Basically you will not notice any latency. Anything happening on the host PC will happen on your receiver at the exact same time!

What is Moonlight:

• It's a 3rd party, open source receiver for nVidia's "Shield TV" / GeForce Experience game streaming protocol.
• Exists for Android, iOS, tvOS (Apple TV), ChromeOS, Windows, Linux and Mac. In other words, for every OS!
• There's even an app port for Valve's Steam Link hardware device, if you own one of those.
• Depending on your receiver device, the experience will be as good as a real Shield TV box. Your device should be able to decode 60 FPS, preferably H.265 @ 60 FPS with HDR.
• Perfect support for pretty much all game controllers (Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4, and lots more). But note that you can pair your controller with the host PC instead, which is what I do. As long as you are within Bluetooth range (which I am), it makes sense to pair the controller to the PC for direct input.

Small setup guide:

• Install Moonlight on your client/receiver device. The Android app exists for most devices, even the FireTV's built-in store has Moonlight on it.
• Read its quick start guide. Basically you just go to your computer, open GeForce Experience, go into Settings, then Shield, and then enable "GameStream".
• You can add your games to the launcher menu, but I honestly prefer Steam's "Big Picture" menu. It's possible to add a direct shortcut to launching Big Picture. To do so, follow the separate guide below.
• On your receiver device, simply connect to the device and it will ask you to type the PIN on your computer. Do this, and the devices will be paired. That's it!
• You SHOULD go through the advanced Moonlight settings to enable H.265 (HEVC) video, HDR support, etc. But that's up to you and your particular setup/client app, etc. For example, on my Huawei P30 (modern Android phone with OLED display, HDR support etc), I went into advanced, "Change H.265 settings" and "Always use H.265", and ticked "Enable HDR". But all of those settings (whether work or even exist) will depend on your devices!

Adding Steam Big Picture to nVidia GameStream:

• This is highly recommended because it means you can enjoy a nice Steam game menu without any need to manually add individual games to GameStream.
• You're going to need to make a .bat file, because nVidia GameStream does not support adding "command line switches" to programs. So we'll have to code it ourselves.
• Open Notepad and type the following code: start "Steam Big Picture" "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\Steam.exe" -start steam://open/bigpicture
• Go to File - Save As, and set "Save as type" dropdown to "All files" (IMPORTANT), then navigate anywhere you wanna save this launcher and name the file "Steam Big Picture.bat". I chose to save mine on the desktop.
• Try double-clicking on that file. If it launches Steam Big Picture, you're done. If not, you did something wrong and should redo the above steps.
• Now go into GeForce Experience's GameStream settings, and click the Add button and navigate your "Steam Big Picture.bat" file. Add it.
• And if you want a nice cover art (I do), just click Edit on the added link and click on the Box Art image. Apply any image you want, but note that it should be in portrait orientation, so for a really nice result you will probably have to use a photo editor to crop the image. The image should be ~1.435x taller than its width. For example, I took a 1280x720 steam logo wallpaper, and then did 720 / 1.435 = ~502, meaning I should make a 502x720 image. Then I was super lazy and went to https://www.iloveimg.com/crop-image, uploaded the imagae, and typed in 502x720 and placed the selection where I wanted it. • Aight, enjoy! Now you can be lazy and just launch Steam Big Picture from your client devices, and from there you have your perfect Steam menu to select all your games, rather than having to add each game individually to GameStream. And as you probably know, you can add non-steam games to steam so that you can launch those via its Big Picture menu too!
• Note that if you've enabled Moonlight's HDR option, you will see a small notification when you launch Steam Big Picture saying "This game does not support HDR", and the stream will be running in non-HDR mode.

Running games in HDR

• If you have HDR-streaming capable hardware (seems to need GeForce 10-series or later) and a game that supports it, then you can stream in HDR.
• To do that, you must add the game individually to the GameStream launcher, because HDR is negotiated/detected at the launch of the app/game you start. So, as mentioned above, Steam's Big Picture will not be running in HDR, and neither will any games launched via that session.
• That being said... HDR isn't super necessary. Even without HDR, the OLED screen of my phone makes Red Dead Redemption 2 look lifelike.

Settings suggestions?

Hey, just looking for suggestions for recording and streaming settings for my laptop. Unfortunately, I don't have a capture card so I am streaming to my laptop with the xbox app for now and capturing my display. I have had no problems with minecraft but games with more action tend to have laggy recordings. Let me know if you need more information and thank you in advance. [Low End PC] How well CoD: MW run on my PC?

First off: I'd like to apologize if this isn't the right place for this or if this is a redundant/duplicate post. This is the first time ever posting in a Reddit of this kind. If this isn't the right place and/or redundant please be kind to me. I'll gladly make corrections.

- Specs:

So, my computer is on the verge of being an old fart. Built it back in 2015-16 and has an i5-something, AMD Radeon-something (will give specifics when I get home), 8gb RAM, 240gb SSD, 2TB HD. No where near the scope of new PCs. I'm extremely tempted to purchase this game, as all of my friends have it and enjoy it a lot. In addition to the cross play capabilities allowing to me play with everyone. However, it'll be the first CoD I've purchased since BO2 on the Xbox 360 and don't want to spend $60+ dollars on a game I can't play and don't know if I can refund. (I'm assuming I can't)

- Some context:

The most recent CoD I've play on this PC is CoD: WW2 and that ran with 60 FPS with minimal stuttering. However, it was a mix of majority low settings with a few medium. (Graphics don't really matter all that much to me, would much rather have smoother gameplay) Never even attempted anything more than that.

The PC also handles games like GTA 5 (Medium/High mix), Witcher 3 (Low/Medium/High mix), Civ 6 (High), WW2 (Low majority/Medium mix), Fornite (Low/Medium mix), Borderlands 2 (Medium/High mix), Fallout 4 (Low/Medium majority mix) all extremely well. Most of the games experience minor or low stuttering. Also, all these games were played at a 1080 resolution, but am also completely fine with scaling it down to 720.

I'm not sure if any of that information is relevant, just thought it could give an idea of games this computer has been able to handle well in terms of their graphic settings.

Older PC that handles games such as GTA 5, Witcher 3, WW2 and newer games well at various low majority/medium mix of graphic settings at 60FPS 1080p. Wondering if CoD: MW will run decent enough to play so I don't waste money.

Also, if I do purchase the game, am I able to refund it if it doesn't run well on my system? (Again, assuming I can't)

Game still unplayable on my PC and no I don't wanna hear about how fine it runs for you

My daily schedule: start the game (on all settings low /off), play one match or maybe two with luck and experience a crash to desktop with or without error or a simple computer freeze forcing me to cut the power. then I randomly checked for another driver update and yeah we got a fresh one out today from AMD (since battlenet keep advising me to update my driver)

sadly same sh!t different error. played one match and once second one booted up game crashed with error this time:

This game has been out since 25th october. Same sh!t still happening on Xbox too btw. Brother playing on it and even tho the last two patches reduced the console shutdowns it still happens rather frequently. Thank you sincerely for taking my 60 bucks and returning me with a product I am simply unable to play by any means.

Steps I have taken so far which some people reported to have helped them:

update all drivers/do a fresh installation of them - still crashing
turn the graphics lower - as stated I run all settings either lowest or off but still crashing
turn down refresh rate to 60 hz - got a 75 hz screen tried turning it down to 60 but still crashing
run in borderless window/window - still crashing
do a fresh install of windows (both 1803 and 1903) - still crashing
reset gpu settings to default/clear shader cache and reinstall ingame - still crashing

Steps I haven't taken so far because I find them ridiculous to even try out:

reduce resolution to like 720 windowed
scale down resolution to like 50% or some dumb sh!t
buy a new computer
buy a ps4

my PC Specs in detail:

PRIME X470-PRO
AMD Ryzen 2700X
Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8 GB DDR4-2933
Radeon RX 5700 XT
Intel 660p 512 GB M.2 SSD (which this game is on)

and here I want to finish this post off with full tinfoil hat mode: for some miracle ps4 runs fine since launch but xbox and certain pc configs have huge troubles and so far no help. exclusivity deal seem to do alot cuz money talks am I right?

all weapon exotics not in the D2 (and my rather unqualified opinions - doesn't include most age of triumph ones)

Just to get these out of the way - Age of Triumph weapons. Specifically the formally legendaries, now exotics. Eh...

They could come back, but as what? non-raid gear? Legendary elementals? I never used these - all my friends were burnt out on D1 at this point, and could see these coming back, but because of the elemental slot now being a thing, I feel like them coming back as exotics wouldn't be the best idea. Even though they do have unique perks, they were this way when released as legendaries. Would be cool to see them back, though.

Dreg’s Promise - Fun! But, Dreg's promise is one of those weapons that could never make a return and I doubt I'd lose sleep over it.

First Curse - This is actually one of my favorite exotics, despite not being the best. This I could see coming back as better, but if it doesn't, there's a reason.

Necrochasm - Never got this one, only the legendary version in the quest. Since the high RoF archetype of 900 is gone and is now only 720, this weapon would either have to break the rules or come back as an SMG.

Fabian Strategy - Heard this one got a buff after awhile and become good, but I never used it since I never really played titan in D1.

Pocket infinity - Apparently this one breaks the game, so pretty much no. That and Thousand Voices exists.

Touch of Malice - Never used, could definitely be fun, however.

Nemesis Star - I never liked this one. I want the fire rate to stay the same. That being said, would be nice to add to the currently low LMG count.

Patience and Time - meh. Stealth was only really useful in PvE, since most players can see you. That being said, wouldn't mind seeing this one come back.

Hereafter - This was the lost exotic I got before D2. I used it and...um...it sure is a sniper rifle.

Boolean Gemini - Never used. I doubt this one would come back, mainly because no one seems to remember it.

No Land Beyond* - when will Devrim share?

Trespasser - Fun exotic, but most people don't use sidearms. Only reason this one made a splash was because Xur sold it soon after Rise of Iron.

Young Wolf’s Howl - Not a sword guy. Looks cool.

Universal Remote - Since Chaperone does its job, and the primary/special weapon slots are gone, Universal Remote's special ability is available to kinetic shotguns with rangefinder. It was my first exotic I got, but I have no real memories of it since I never used it leveled until the special ammo nerfs came.

Super Good Advice - Super good advice: bring this back to fill the missing LMG slot. In all seriousness, another one I doubt anyone would lose too much sleep if lost. I liked this one, but Thunderlord.

Khvostov 7G-0X - We have the normal Khvostov now. Can we see this one come back?

Plan C - it's basically back in the form of a random weapon perk.

Hawkmoon - since random damage bullet is gone, likely is this one. Always fun to use, though.

Tlaloc - Never used it since I just forget to do the quest. Whoops! This comes from someone who's really bad with supers, so this is a match made in heaven too.

Bolt Caster - Not a swords guy.

Dragon’s Breath - I never used this one, which sucks because I had it and was really excited when I got it, then I forgot. I'm an idiot.

Ice Breaker - this one won't be coming back since it regens ammunition, unless a creative solution is implemented, like having it start with 1/0 instead of 2/1 so you have to generate the ammo instead. I never was a big Ice-Breaker guy since I never was good with snipers.

Zen Meteor - Played on XBOX, but from my understanding this one is hard to use.

No Time to Explain - the Stranger's rifle look seems to be in the pulse rifle you get from Vex Offensive.

Dark Drinker - One of those I never used because I heard it was good but the quest seemed hard.

Vex Mythoclast - the OP one. I never used because I suck at raids, but would love to see this one make a comeback for like two days before realizing the quest required friends. Oh well!

4th Horseman - My favorite fun exotic, to the point of using it in PvP for fun, and strikes when Arc burn was active.

Invective - same as Ice Breaker. I still want this to come back, however.

Red Death* (Replaced by Crimson) - Crimson is logically better with the higher damage, ammo and arguably perks...but nostalgia is stronger than logic. I'd rather see Red Death come back.

Zhalo Supercell* (Replaced by Riskrunner) *Cries in nostalgia* I still play D1 just to use Zhalo.

because it's been replaced (and because it's my favorite and I'm biased), I'm going to propose a way it could come back - make it a kinetic weapon. Hear me out.

One of Zhalo's claims to fame was the slot - primary slot, arc damage. It could participate in the burn, alongside its good parts. However, this claim to fame is over due to elemental weapons being a thing.

So I propose we either stick Zhalo in the primary slot just because, or we make it kinetic. As in, it fires kinetic rounds, but still has the same perks, which cause it do deal arc damage to other targets like it used to do in D1. Or, we make it have a perk that has it deal extra damage to arc shields only, and acts like a normal kinetic weapon to other shields. I think it could work.

Also we could have a "Lords of THunder" mode where everyone comes with Zhalo, Riskrunner and Thunderlord equipped. I've thought about Zhalo coming back too much, I'll be honest.

Raze Lighter - did I mention I never used swords? I don't feel like I mentioned that at least three times.

Gjallarhorn - Considering Deathbringer is kinda like G-Horn (cluser-ish rocket launcher with nova bomb things), I honestly could see Gjallahorn coming back sometime later. However, I could also see Deathbringer being the Crimson / Riskrunner of Gjallarhorn. Still, would be nice to see a favorite.

Output on stream will not go to 1080, need help.

All settings have 1080 resolution set, yet when I look at my mixer stream it's always 720. I've messed with Canvas, output, even tried rescaling and... Boom 720 Everytime. I've tried nitrates from 2500 to 9000. I've tried 30-60 fps. Tried streaming with CPU as well as GPU. Can not figure it out.. help.

Let me know any info you need. Be my hero.

New to PC- Lag fix for Witcher 3

Hey everyone, I'm trying to play Witcher 3 on my Lenovo yoga 720. Im new to pc gaming and saw the trailer for Witcher on Netflix and thought it looked really fun, why not ? Was mad for halo as a kid on xbox, but wondering if there are settings I need to adjust.

The movements are lagging badly, but im pretty sure my specs are good enough. The computer has 8Gb of RAM though, should I add more or is it something I can adjust km the graphics settings on the computer?

I have to use a USB controller because of a hand injury.... that shouldn't be an issue as it relates to lag right?

Any help here is super welcome for this noob.
