So I only have a PC, never had the pleasure of D1 (would totally blast through that for the story content if I could afford an xbox or ps, but I digress) and only hopped into d2 post-forsaken. I'm loving it and just got to 750 power but I am confused as to how to know if I've actually hit the current max or if I just got lucky with the level of my gear drops.
Now obviously, if I have every single equipped piece of gear at 750, my power level is 750. But does that affect what level gear can drop at? I don't mean 'powerful gear' rewards I mean average stuff that I might pick up while running strikes, nightfalls, gambit, etc I've noticed my powerful rewards drop at 749 and now finally 750, and my regular ones that aren't from year one drop at about ~720. Is this is? Do I have to get powerful drops and infuse up to get my other gear to be 750? Or if I keep playing and leveling up and stuff will the level of my average gear increase to 750 at some point also?
I'd also like to know if there's any kind of 'most recent updates accounted for' guide? Because when I first got the game I read so much about D1 lore and story and d2 mechanics, but the actual game mechanics obviously had changed with Forsaken's launch so it was all completely different to what I'd read (eg, how weapon mods worked, which weapons you could equip in which slot, etc) and whenever I look for help on something I never know if I'm reading what's actually correct or what WAS a helpful guide in year 1 but is now not relevant given the changes with forsaken.
**TLDR;** I have at least one 750 power/light item in each gear slot, 750's drop from powerful rewards for me now, non powwerful rewards drop around 720. Does the non powerful reward ever increase as I level up more or can I only make those 750 via infusion?
