I hadn't really got on the 4K hype train until recently, when I bought an XBox 1X and at the weekend I finally upgraded my TV and got a 4K/HDR set.
My previous TV was 32" / 720p (I thought it was 1080p until I looked in the settings) and I wasn't expecting much of a change but I was blown away when playing through the new expansion.
The increase in quality was immediately obvious, maybe the jump from 720p to 4k is quite large and/or having a bigger screen allows you to notice the details easier (as everything is bigger) but dayum, I'm very impressed! The lighting is also ridiculous although that might just be the art direction and the same across all consoles.
I wasn't really expecting much of an improvement but it does help Destiny 2 start to look a bit more like a sequel.
I know an XB1X is an expensive purchase and a 4K TV even more so but if you have the money and are sitting on the fence, I would say go for it, if you don't, it's not the end of the world as you are still playing the same game (which is what it boils down to at the end of the day)!
