Quick Question. When did Xbox's resolution for screenshots change from 1920x1080 to 1280x720, and why?

I always loved taking screenshots that I could turn into high quality wallpapers on my phone or laptop, but now they aren't even close to big enough for either. They look much weaker and less detailed compared to my older screenshots. Is there any way to revert back to the old, much more profound resolution?
