Have you checked the Plex knowledge base and searched on the sub and Google: Yes even posted on Plex - no answer
Server version:1.5.6.3790
OS:Windows 10 64 bit
Clients, w/ versions, if applicable: Fire tv, PS4, Xbox one S, Xbox one, Web App
What you did?Try to play any video at all. High bitrate, low bitrate, 1080p, sd, 720p, did not matter.
What happened? Ever since the most recent update plex has basically been unusable for me. On the Xbox One S it tells me on every single video bandwidth not available. Xbox One S is displaying at 4k resolution. If I switch to my fire tv (4k model) the display is set for 1920x1080 as that is what plex runs at. All videos play BUT the audio cuts out every few seconds. My network is unchanged it is 300/30 and when I switch to kodi running on my fire tv the same video plays with zero issue. If I play plex on my regular xbox in a different room, it skips as well.
I tried downgrading my version using the exe's in the update folder, but every older version now gives me failed codecs. I have reinstalled, rebooted, reset network, several times and nothing works. If I try remote play from web app, it buffers every few seconds and stops. Plex is basically dead for me now, and I don't know what to do. https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/270249/broken-on-xbox-one-s-and-fire-tv-after-update-unusable#latest
So I used someones speedtest plugin and I get 207/30. I feel like I have more than enough. Can anyone help?
I made this post on the forums and got zero help. I don't understand what happened. I tried downgrading it to an old version but then I get failed codec messages that I cannot fix. Any ideas?
What you expected? It to actually play like it did before the update.
What are your (relevant) settings? Default settings, not a plex pass member.
