Xbox One on a 720p TV

So I got a new TV a few weeks ago, but I made the mistake of getting a 720p tv as I'm retarded and misread "1080i" as "1080p" I got a 32 inch samsung tv that has a resolution of 1366x768. What are the best display settings to use? My TV can use the 1080p resolution setting, but text appears really jagged, whereas using the 720p setting, text appears much clearer, but the picture is not as crisp and looks a bit blurry. Overall I would say it looks better using 1080p, but the jagged text really annoys me.

My theory is, when using 1080p, my tv downscales it to its native resolution (1366x768 or 768p),whereas when I select 720p, it has to downgrade from 768p to 720p. However, I don't really know much about how tvs work and shit. How could I make the 720p setting look a bit better, or how could I make the text at the 1080p setting not so jagged? I tried messing around with the sharpness setting, and it helped with the text, but it made the rest of the image blurry and dull. Any help or advice is appreciated!
