A PC gamer's perspective on the Nintendo Switch

As a PC gamer that owns a 4790k and EVGA 1080 Classified I can say that I have all the power in a system I need right now.

However

I've been a PC gamer for 8 years and have not once been interested in a console (2015 made me kind of because of splatoon but I saw the flop the Wii U was). The Nintendo switch genuinely made me excited for a console for the first time in years. I am usually really critical on consoles but the switch I am not. The 720p display on the hand held does not bother me, nor does the sub 1080p docked mode. The games look interesting (Arms, Splatoon 2, portable skyrim) the price point is decent (the Xbox one S and PS4 are the same price but are soon being outdated and my PC has all the power I need.). What really sold me on the switch is the game line up so far, the portability, and the fact it is Nintendo, the only console company I will consider buying. (Greedy Microsoft, DDOSed Sony)

What are your opinions and why am I seeing a lot of hate for it?
