Rev1 on Upcoming Build

Build Help/Ready:

Have you read the sidebar and rules? (Please do)

Yes - unsure of rules around reposting. I posted in my orginal topic, but reading the rules it looks like this is the way to solicit more feedback on an updated build list?

See original post First Build in 8-10 Years

What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.

Looking to get into PC gaming vs upgrading to the current generation of consoles. I have a PS3 currently and thinking I want to try a PC vs an Xbox One S. Have to be able play GTAV on high settings (enough to justify benefit over keeping the PS3 or buying the Xbox). Would like to run No Man's Sky on high (at least). Not sure what else I will be into - been a long time since I was a PC gamer. Thinking I will be putting this guy with the rest of my modest home theater equipment so no need for WiFi, small/compact/discrete is a plus. Don't really need or want a huge, flashy case. I have Ethernet in the area, so WiFi is not needed. Additionally, would like for this build to be capable of running new games for the next few years with minimal upgrade cost.

If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, FPS, game settings)

I have a Dell Ultrasharp U2415 24" 1920x1200 - 60Hz refresh I think. So would really like to take full advantage of what I have currently. Not sure where High or Ultra ranks with respect to what a PS4 or Xbox One S will do but my goal is really to beat the performance of a console at a reasonable price.

What is your budget (ballpark is okay)?

Would like to be around $800 (with OS), so realistically right around $720 I think. Could be convinced to go over a bit if there is real value there.

In what country are you purchasing your parts?

USA

Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please). Consider formatting your parts list. Don't ask to be spoonfed a build (read the rules!).

Provide any additional details you wish below.

Here is my updated draft parts list - turns out I have a microcenter nearby that typically has pretty solid sales. Going down from 6600 to 6500 and to a 480 8gb, am I little closer to where I want to be with this list (vs the original)?

Additionally does it make sense to scrap this altogether and just buy this prebuilt?
