Need help deciding on new system

Hey, I think I can post this here. If not let me know.
Xbox 360 owner here looking to upgrade his system. Now that I am out of college and have a job I can actually afford a new console. Since the Xbox One S and PS4 Pro are the newest systems released/releasing soon I am trying to decide between those. Currently, I have a Vizio 720p tv that I will soon upgrade to either a 4k or 1080p tv, most likely around 40". I would like to get the best visual experience from the new system and really can't tell which one is better suited for me. So I'll just say what I'd like to have available.
* Casual gamer who enjoys role playing, FPS and classic games.
* I stream Netflix from my current xbox and like that both systems come with 4k streaming.
* Want the best quality graphics for 1080p - since i've seen a lot of posts about how the PS4 Pro is not "true" 4k gaming.
* Most reliable network i.e. Live vs. PSN.
* Which has more backwards compatibility. Can I play my old 360 games on the One S? and can I play PS3 games that I've never owned on the PS4? (Side note: I know you could download ols PS1 & 2 games, like Crash, Spyro, Jak & Daxter, Rachet & Clank etc., from the PS store on the PS3, Is this the same for the PS4 Pro?).
* In regards to exclusive games, what are the best/most anticipated releases for each of the systems?
* General Question: What are the best games on the market right now? The last game I bought was GTAV... I've been out of the loop.
