Thought I'd give Apex a try since I don't have any other PCs capable of running it. This definitely isn't pretty, but is actually quite playable. Game will warn that the system doesn't meet requirements, but just accept the warning.
Here are the best performance settings I used:
- Set windows resolution to 1080x720 (registry tweak might be needed to allow this resolution).
- Set Graphics Power option to max (windows central tweak) in Windows.
- In Apex, set video settings to:
- Force Resolution: OFF
- Dynamic Optimization: ON
- Render Quality: LOW
Game runs at 25-30fps, and is quite playable with an xbox one controller. Race starts are the worst, with frame rate dropping due to large number of cars on screen, but it jumps up to 30fps pretty quickly after a couple of corners.
