Good god BF1 on XO in comparison to the PS4 version is a freaking mess. The GPU on the XO simply can't handle Battlefield games.
This is now the third try DICE has had and I still can't justify picking the XO version of the game up over the PS4 version.
I foolishly made the mistake of buying BF4 for the XO a few years back and boy was that a frame rate dropping nightmare even on lightly populated maps.
More disturbing than that is 64 player matches on both consoles have frame rate drops. DICE has no business even having the player count that high on conquest large. Which is why I never play in 64 player matches in the first place. How anyone could is beyond my comprehension the frame rate is atrocious.
The sweet spot which DICE's player number should be at is 44. Custom servers where dice isn't forcing the 64 players run a million times better at that number. Even so the XO still can't handle 44 with out frame rate being an issue where as the PS4 can.
Heck XO even struggles with 32 player matches with full bars on the server. My advice to anyone with both consoles is to pick up the PS4 version no question about it.
I can't stress enough how super disappointing BF1 even at 720P on the XO is. Sadly XO owners will once again just have to deal with bad performance.
