The system requirements really make me nervous about the PC optimization...

Hear me out for a moment.

So basically, the minimum GPU that DOOM requires on PC is a GTX 670. Alright, for those who are unaware the PS4 GPU is roughly equivalent to a GTX 750 Ti. DOOM is going to be targeting 1080p/60fps (Although the resolution does adapt to 720 and 900p from time to time.) with both PS4 and Xbox One.

What this tells, at least to me. Is that either the system requirements are massively overblown or then the optimization of the PC version will be extremely sub-par. A 670 is not even remotely comperable to a 750 Ti in terms of performance, hell a 670 beats even a 760 in some instances.

I played the beta on my 960 4GB and it ran fairly well after i disabled the vsync, with that on it chugged really hard. Probably because the game tried to lock to 30 whenever the framerate dropped to 50-55 or so. But that is only the multiplayer and not representative of the singleplayer experience, as that will most likely be a lot more graphically intensive. Of course, we don't even know what settings the game ran at the beta so that's also something to consider. That said, if you put the PC and console betas side by side there isn't a huge amount of difference between the graphical quality.

Time will tell, but i gotta say i'm a bit scared. :P
