Build Help:
Hi everyone, sorry for what may be a wall of text but I want to be as clear as I possibly can be. I'm looking to get into PC gaming as my preference for games is slowly shifting to genres that aren't available on consoles. I have an Xbox One at the moment, which I will keep, but I'm looking to switch to PC for most of my gaming needs.
What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.
Mostly gaming, some browsing and movies/series. I have a laptop on the side for university so I won't be needing any Word/Powerpoint/Excel kind of programs.
If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, FPS, game settings)
1080p at 60fps, graphical settings as high up as possible for what my budget allows. Some of my favourite games that I play on my Mac at the moment are Europa Universalis 4, Crusader Kings 2, Football Manager and Cities Skylines, although the latter barely runs with all settings lowered at 720p, thank you based 512MB AMD video card in this iMac of mine.
I'd love to play games from the Total War franchise, but these are simply unplayable on my Mac. Add to that some Counter Strike and Assetto Corsa, rFactor and Dirt Rally. I'm open to any game at this point!
What is your budget (ballpark is okay)?
€1400 is the limit for me. However, this includes a monitor, a copy of Windows, mouse and a keyboard (and any other necessary accessories I may have forgot. I can steal my XB1 Elite controller away from my console for certain games, though).
In what country are you purchasing your parts?
The Netherlands. I've checked and compared the prices of parts to that of the US, and a general guideline for prices seems to be US price + 5-15% = price in EUR in my country.
Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please).
As someone who's used Macs exclusively for the last 5-6 years, any knowledge of technology that I used to have has faded. I've tried to do as much research online and read into compatibility and parts but I still struggle to get a good overview. I've tried my best, at least.
As for lacking components/accessories: As far as I'm aware I'm lacking a case, mouse, keyboard, a monitor and a copy of Windows in this list. And I might want an optical drive as well but I'm not completely sure on that yet.
I've spent a while looking at my options for parts and such, and I've compiled a list with options as shown in the picture: https://i.gyazo.com/a8337b32cc6536c51c90d4417dec0b4f.png
As shown above there's many options but with price in mind my current (uncompleted) build is as follows, lacking the parts as stated before:

Provide any additional details you wish below.
Thanks to everyone who can help me out in advance. I am confident I'll be able to build it on my own, and I have a family friend I can fall back on if needed. My apologies if I've said anything stupid or forgot to mention something, just mention if I have (: !
