Maybe I'm just not using it correctly or there's something I have to configure but from my experience and even light tinkering the mouse-like joystick just kinda sucks. I loaded up the Xbox 360 controller preset for Black Ops 3 and started up a game of zombies. Swiping across the touch pad is nothing like the mouse input, in fact I don't see how it's anything like a mouse. If I swipe twice really quickly, weird tweens in the mouse speed occur between swipes where my turning slows to a stop, waits a few frames (sometimes as long as 5 frames), then applies the next swipe. Swiping quickly across the touch pad moves the mouse slowly, and swiping super slowly makes my character do thirteen 720 spins aboard a unicycle. Am I using this option wrong, or does it just kinda suck?
