So as my title says, anytime i try to stream with with my webcam while also doing gameplay, the stream loses frames and looks pretty bad. But according to OBS, or the little information bar at the bottom of the program, it says i'm maintaining 30FPS, no drops, and internet quality is maintaining as well? I can see the difference very clearly, when i turn off webcam vs having it on, its night and day.
PC Specs/Stream setup: * i7 4790k Base 4.0GHz GTX 970 * 16GB RAM * Internet Speeds are 120 up 10-15 down * El Gato external capture card is what im using btw, for Xbox capture, but this occurs even when streaming PC Gameplay as well. OBS: * Using CPU or the x264 or w/e that is. * Using CBR, not using CBR padding (should i? I dont know) * Bitrate and buffer size are 3500, recommended by the OBS estimator. * Video is downscaled too 1280x720 and set too 30 FPS (should i go for a different setup for 60? am i capable?)
And i believe thats all, if im missing something obviously just ask and ill try to find that information.
TL;DR: Using webcam causes noticeable frame rate drops, without webcam everything is beautiful. OBS says everything's fine, where the hell is my bottleneck for this issue?
Also apparently i dont know how to format Reddit? So sorry for that mess, not sure why its not working.
