Do you lose picture quality when watching media on a ps3 that's connected to xbox one via hdmi ?

Just inquiring if anyone has done the same thing as me? Connected their ps3 to xbox one to play media. I have some 720p and 1080p tv shows on my ps3, and swear if i play the same file on the Xbox one via a usb jump drive, the PQ seems sharper and clearer when watching it directly on xbox one.

Is it my imagination, thoughts on the matter ?
