Provide any additional details you wish below.
- My TV is only 1080p @ 60Hz, so I'm not worried about getting more than 1080p 60fps to start.
- As of right now, I just want higher quality than my PS4 and Xbox One can do. I love the next gens, but without my older games I feel I would benefit more from just going PC than playing on a console.
- I chose an Intel processor because although AMD has CPU's that compete with Intel within their respectable price range, AMD doesn't have CPU's that compete with high-end Intels. I plan to eventually upgrade to a better Intel in the future. Getting an AMD CPU would mean that I need to get a new motherboard on top of a new CPU if I wanted to go Intel.
- I don't have an OC'able CPU, but I will get one later on that will be...hence the Z97 MOBO.
- i3-4170 is a great dual core with hyperthreading, and has a nice clock speed. I've seen the performance of this CPU in coincidence of the GTX 960 and was surprised to see it not bottleneck the fps on ultra (Battlefield 4).
- I plan to get an SSD in the future when I sell my Xbox One.
- Any recommendations on CPU paste for in the future? I was thinking Arctic Silver but I figure I would ask around.
- I'm mostly looking for any final inputs that might benefit me as I start out. I know an SSD would help a lot, but that will end up being my next purchase for sure.
