[Tech]Xbox One & Elgato Pass-Through Aspect Ratio Issues

Hello all. I've searched this subreddit, among other places, but cannot for the life of me find anyone else who has had this specific issue. Most people just have issues with a blank screen or flickering. I recently bought the Elgato Game Capture HD (Not the HD60) to capture some higher fidelity video while playing and it works flawlessly in that respect. There is one thing though that is more of a nusance, as I've found a workaround, but would still prefer to resolve it if I can.

When I plug the HDMI from my Xbox One straight into my TV (720p HDTV), it looks fine and fits the TV screen perfectly... Imgur

Now when I use the pass-through on the Elgato, the preview on my PC and the final result of the video look flawless in the 1280x720 I record in. However, here is where the issue pops up. For some reason, when running through the pass-through, it does this to my TV screen... Imgur

For some reason, I'm not sure what is causing it, it smashes the ration down to what looks like 4:3. My Xbox still says it's outputting in 720p in the settings and the videos still record at 720p but that is what I'm seeing on my TV. I can get around this, sort of, by using the setting on my TV that stretches the image but this has caused issues with games that don't have a safe zone adjustment. Leaving some of my games to have things like HUD and subtitles cut off beyond the endge of my stretched screen.

Can anyone help me out with this? Has it happened to anyone else? Has anyone found a solution? I would have posted in the Elgato subreddit but that place isn't very, lively, so I decided to come here instead.
