Hey guys. I've been having a huge issue recently that is getting me really frustrated.
I have a white 360 that has treated me well for several years now. She needs a new power brick but that's not the issue. I have a small(ish) LG LCDTV that the 360 runs great on with an HDMI cable. Running 1080p is not a problem.
I recently moved house though, and downstairs there is a much bigger Sharp Aquos TV that I would love to be able to play on. No matter how much I try though, I can't get an audio or video signal on the Sharp TV with the 360. Same HDMI cable which I'm sure works, and I'm sure the HDMI input isn't an issue because the Apple TV and other HD appliances work fine with the Sharp Aquos. I've tried changing the display settings on the 360. 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p, makes no difference. Tried different HDMI cables too, even though I know the original works, to no avail. Tried resetting upon startup, zilch. Tried resetting the TV to default settings, 0. What's going on?
Am I doing something wrong? I know that I could just carry on playing on the LG TV and that is such a first world problem, but I've been trying all day with this fucking thing and it's just not giving me an inch.
I am in China though. The 360 is a UK console but I don't even think that makes a difference, because it has worked on other TVs just fine. I'm sure it's just this Sharp one has a personal vendetta against me.
If anyone has any suggestions, please, let me know. I'm willing to try anything, just so I can say I defeated this fucking arsehole of a telly
