So I do the occasional snoop in my settings like any android user would, and a few months ago I found ImsLogger+, DumpCollector, ImsService, SilentLogger, etc. Upon noticing that they had every single permission that they possibly could, I researched. The only thing is, I never got a straight answer. I want to know why stock apps need to read my texts and be able to send emails. Is Samsung spying on us? Is it malware that snuck it's way into lollipop? Why does ImsService have the creepy icon of a ghost holding candy in one hand and hiding a knife behind it's back? Find out next week on Dragon Ball Z!
All joking aside, I just want to make sure that my phone is okay. Thanks.
(Note: My phone isn't rooted and the only thing I ever downloaded off of a website is the old Odd Future music from their site, and I noticed the apps before I downloaded those. I also saved some pictures from Google images but I'm not sure I could get malware or anything of the sort from that. I also get the occasional scareware but I think that's just trying to get me to download a virus. I checked for .apk files and I'm fairly certain that I have none.)
