[Request] [Steam] The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited

Introduction

Hello! My name is beingDevisor, and I would like to request ESO: Tamriel Unlimited!

The Elder Scrolls Series

The Elder Scrolls series has always been a personal favorite of mine. I've played all the games (Excluding ESO!), including Arena and Daggerfall, which I might have emulated (Shh!). I played Oblivion and Skyrim on my Xbox 360 until it broke, and I recently purchased those two and Morrowind on Steam.

My Experience

I remember the first Elder Scrolls game I played. My little sister had been raving about Skyrim for a while, and finally got it for her birthday. She was mature enough for it, so my mother gave in and got it for her. She was ecstatic, which made me wonder what could hype someone up so much.

It began with watching her. She would stomp across the Nordic regions of Tamriel with her ebony bow and light armors, and I was simply fascinated. She had the entire world in her hands, to do with it as she pleased! Of course, my next course of action was to try it out for myself!

I made a nice Breton and rolled into Helgen in a cart, completely mesmerized by the detail put into the graphics and story. I picked up an iron sword and I haven't stopped swinging since! I poured all my free time into that game. I beat the main questline, then moved onto the major side quests, and when I completed those, I moved onto the countless others. It seemed to never end! Eventually I purchased Oblivion and played that relentlessly too. Until that one day.

That one day the Red Ring of Death came onto my poor little 360 (Not my picture). I was more upset over the loss of my character than the loss of my expensive gaming console. That put an end to my Elder Scrolls days.

For a while I didn't play many games. I spent a lot of my time with friends and playing sports and whatnot. I enjoyed it, but not as much as I had enjoyed my romp through Skyrim. One year, during the holidays, I asked Santa for a gaming computer in a seemingly futile attempt to revive my video game days.

Of course it wasn't futile in the end! I received a nice little gaming laptop that wasn't a beast, but it got the job done. I immediately got a steam account and put all the Elder Scrolls games on my wishlist! They eventually went on sale, and I added them to my growing collection of games. Skyrim is now the proud owner of 86 hours of my life that I'll never get back, not including the time I spent on the 360 version.

Why I want it

First of all, have you seen this? The Elder Scrolls games are the most realistic looking games I've seen in a long long time (For me, a long long time was Super Mario Sunshine when I was a kiddo). It's just plain gorgeous, and I absolutely adore the graphics!

Skyrim was amazing, there's no disputing that. However, I often found myself thinking about playing alongside my sister. I would think to myself, 'woah, that would be mind blowingly awesome!' and of course, they eventually released ESO. Can confirm, Mind was blown.

An Elder Scrolls game as an MMO is just one of those things that everyone kind of wanted. As single player games, it was great! The NPC's weren't the most lively, but that was okay because they still reacted to things somewhat normally. Sure, you used to be an adventurer like me until you took an arrow to the knee, but what about the dragon currently ransacking Whiterun? Not the best AI. Playing with actual humans however, I just can't even fathom the awesome.

But why can't I just buy it myself?

I'm broke. There's no other way to say it. $60? I certainly don't have that money, and I won't for a long while. However, I feel as if I've waited long enough, and I can't wait any longer!

That's why I've turned to you, Reddit, for help. There are countless stories about people delivering beyond my wildest dreams on this site, and I think it might be my turn. So please, my fellow Redditors, help a brother out? Receiving this game would make my day week Ah hell, I probably wouldn't stop the hype for a very long time. This is a game that's special to me.

Conclusion

ESO:TU is an amazing game full of plot, amazing graphics and a (hopefully) wonderful community! I can't buy it because I'm fresh out of cash, and I feel like I will be for a while. However, I really want this game! And so I turn to you, Reddit.

Would you ever so kindly gift me this game?

With a heart full of hope, beingDevisor
