Building a Household PC on a Tight Budget

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Gsmarena

Build Help/Ready:

Have you read the sidebar and rules? (Please do)

Yes.

What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.

My intention with this build is to make a computer for my girlfriend's family. Currently they don't really use their computer for anything besides web browsing, office, and light gaming (Solitaire). I was able to put this together for less than what I saw for prebuilt desktops, but I'm still not sure if they'd be better off with a prebuilt. The one thing that she did specify wanting was an optical drive, which I've included. Their computer currently is really, really slow, so I thought it would be cool to include an SSD, and I found a Sandisk 120GB SSD on Amazon for 45 bucks, so naturally I included an SSD. For their purposes, 120GB should be more than enough, considering they're only currently using about 12GB.

If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, FPS, game settings)

Not really intended for gaming.

What is your budget (ballpark is okay)?

$200-$300

In what country are you purchasing your parts?

USA

Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please). Consider formatting your parts list. Don't ask to be spoonfed a build (read the rules!).

Provide any additional details you wish below.

Again, if I'd be better off getting a prebuilt then let me know. I've only ever built one PC before, so I'm not too knowledgeable about them. Any help is appreciated!

NOTE: You do not have to follow this format, but please be sure to answer these questions. Please do not ask to simply be given a build. You are welcome to delete this section.
