(If you want to skip the story go to the bottom) Hey I'm really new to rooting but I've been on Android for the past 5 months or so and the Note 4 is the first Android phone I've ever owned. First I loved it. All of it. Even touch wiz. So much so that I married it. I though I can make her stop making that annoying boop noise and put her in a nova red dress and all will be good? At first it was wonderful, then everything changed. We redid our vows when Android 5.0 finally came to her. She slowed down. She overheated and got hot tempered. She started to need to be charged more often. I thought it was worth it since Android L on the note 4, though not the sexiest thing in the world, is better than KitKat on it. I was happy. I got a few erections. All was good for a while. Then I watched how much prettier, smoother, and more seductively customizable my friend's One Plus One with CyanogenMod 12 was. I was going to cheat last night. Cut my ties with touch wiz, root the phone, and get CyanogenMod. I found many links to instructions for how to root my note 4. That's when the first hurdle came. It was a struggle to find root instructions that worked for the Verizon model I own (I should have foreseen these issues... The child of Verizon and Samsung... Apple doesn't fall far the tree). Finally I found some. These all required me to own a PC. This has caused me to reach my final huddle. With touchwiZ naked trying to seduce me back into its bed I look to you, oh wise redditors. Help me find a way to cheat on this software.
NO BULLSHIT VERSION I need help finding a way to root a Verizon galaxy note 4 running 5.0.1 from a Mac and then put CyanogenMod 12 on it without bricking it.
