Downloaded NieR - automata from the FitGirl website, but when i try to run the setup 2 consecutive popups appear that say "Runtime error, could not call proc". I verified the files and reinstalled redist C++ multiple times. I really don't want to reinstall the entire thing cuz my internet is so slow

What would be your ideal name for the next console?

Posted this in r/nintendo an hour or so ago not realising this subreddit existed, and thought it would be more fitting here rather than clogging up space:

The Internet consensus for discussing it is the 'Switch 2'. We need a genralised name to discuss, but its unlikely to be the name of the console. It is the equivalent of the Xbox 720.

I read a comment on an old youtube video which said it should be called the Super Nintendo Switch. Which spurred me to ask this.

The Switch has been so successful that Nintendo will obviously want to present their console as a sequel to it. DS to 3DS style. However, Nintendo will obviously want to avoid the confusion between generations which happened between the Wii and the Wii U. I also think they will want to avoid this feeling like a half step of a generation (DS to DSi). Which is exactly why I do not think it will be the Switch Pro, which mirrors the half step from PS4 to PS4 Pro.

My ideal name is one I am stealing from a very old Scott the Woz video, the Switch 2.0.

1440 120fps?

So does Halo not allow 1440 120fps? I bought an LG Ultra gaming monitor that is 1440 and up to 165hz. I have my Xbox Series S console settings at 1440 and 120 refresh rate. When I change the refresh rate in Halo Infinite to 120, the resolution looks terrible. Like 720 terrible. Not to mention, even with the refresh rate at 60 the monitor still doesn’t look 1440 quality, looks 1080. Any advice?

Xbox One S has no signal on 1 TV but works fine on another. Xbox One works on both.

Heya. So, been searching for a couple days now with no success. Friend recently moved in with me and her Xbox One X is stuck on No Signal on my living room TV. Works fine with bedroom TV. My old One works fine on both TVs. Can't be the console, can't be the TV, tried out a new HDMI but nothing's changed. At one point we tried booting the One X in 480p and that worked but when we tried to change it to 720 or 1080, the image would tear horribly, turn green with a load of static, etc. and now even that won't work. Any ideas? I've ran out.
