Posting again since my text was missing from the original post. In summary, I have an X91J I have been using for years with an Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch. I've only used both in Game Mode up until recently I had to flip both to the Graphics Mode picture setting because in Game Mode motionflow would not stay disabled. I noticed some interesting differences between the modes.
The most notable difference at first glance is an increased sharpness in Graphics Mode. I've included screenshots which I could only do off-screen since the Switch screen captures were too low res to show the differences. But if you look at the eyes you can see where Graphics Mode has increased sharpness and the Game Mode has more smoothing. If I were to describe the difference it is similar to when I switch a game on PS5 or Xbox from Performance Mode to Quality Mode and there is increased clarity due to the increased resolution. This "sharpness" difference I notice whether I am playing 720/1080p games on the Switch or 4k games on the Xbox.
So I am wondering if that is what is going on when Graphics Mode is activated? Is it simply just cosmetic and for some reason the picture has an increased sharpness/clarity or could it be what was posted here and only 1/2 the pixels are used in every mode but Graphics Mode?
