G cloud impressions after about 40 hours of Starfield.

Super impressed with the g cloud, it’s become my main way of playing Starfield since it’s release. My setup is an Xbox series x wired to my router and then my g cloud on a wifi 6 router on the 5 ghz channel. I exclusively use it for remote play within the same LAN so no cloud streaming yet.

As everyone says, Do not use the default xbox app, it caps at 720p. Buy xbxplay from the play store right from the jump at you’ll be glad you did (and psplay if u have a ps5, I have used it a bit with ps5 but mostly Xbox). 1080p30 looks great on the g cloud’s display, whereas the 720 from the Xbox official app can look bad at times. On my setup the latency is really impressive, on a single player game like Starfield it feels barely noticeable. For very twitch focused multiplayer fps games, I’d say the latency will put you at a disadvantage but I played some casual Halo multiplayer and could still do good enough. Competitive multiplayer games are still better suited on a proper display though with a proper controller, so if that’s your only use case, you might be somewhat frustrating on the g cloud.

The built in game pad is very capable though, I’ve played Starfield, destiny 2, and a few other shooters and the game pad feels very switch like which is a good compliment. The sticks are a bit shallow so you have to get used to it but I’m very happy with it overall. It’s the epitome of a luxury item, but if u have a console to remote play from, it’s a really sweet item to have and really shines with non competitive games.
