Am I gaining anything by switching to hdmi 2.1?

So my tv only has 2.0 ports. It can do 4k at 60 hz using auto detect in the Video fidelity setting.

If I switch from auto detect to hdmi overrides, I can choose between 1440 at 60 hz, and 1080 & 720 at 120 hz. But the hdmi override setting doesn't allow 4k. The xbox says my tv setting doesn't allow 4k (It can only do 4k in auto detect).

So would I be gaining anything from switching to an hdmi 2.1 cable in a 2.0 port or would it just give me the same 2.0 performance?
