Good day everyone,
So I unfortunately live in South Africa and we are suffering from power cuts. I have a Hisense U7H TV which draws about 150 watts with HDR and about 100 watts without it.
My question is, I have researched and on average according to most people the series S uses an average of 75 watts per hour while gaming, and if you use it in power saver it should only be drawing 0.5 watts per hour when off?
I am having different figures on the extreme side. I have an inverter system with a backup battery to continue playing during power cuts. However, the Xbox is drawing huge amounts of power according to the inverter. I only have the tv and the Xbox plugged in, nothing else.
When the tv is on alone it draws about 150 watts as said above, but with the Xbox plugged in (and off in power saver, tv off) the inverter still reads at 150w. Only when I unplug the Xbox does it drop significantly. Also, when the tv and Xbox are both on and playing a game, I am drawing about 300 watts.
This to me means that my Xbox is drawing 150 watts when gaming.
When watching a tv show using the Xbox (my tv doesn’t support Disney plus so I have to use Xbox) the total draw is 280 but sometimes 260 watts. Which is still higher than the series s reported power consumption.
Has anyone else noticed this? My inverter is only a 720 watt hour with a lead acid so essentially I am only able to use it for an hour and a bit without damaging the battery. But if it was what others are saying I should get closer to 2 hours safely. I’ve been having to unplug the Xbox to extend battery life during the longer power cuts or it doesn’t last.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!
