Help Enineers! Need Setup Advice for a PVM (20L5)

Hey all, I'm looking at purchasing a Sony 20L5 in the near future and need some advice to get my existing setup to play nice with it, or any suggestions on devices to help get everything connected. A bit of an engineering problem if you will.

My goal is to have all of my consoles plugged into some form of switcher, and to have them output to the PVM with no sync/resolution issues.Push button or remote switchers are fine, but passive switching would be cool. Since the 20L5 supports anywhere from 240p to 720p/1080i, I'd like specific advice on how to get that working too as it's the main selling point for me, and I know it's hard to get right.

If helps, I have the following gear/consoles I'd like to connect:

Consoles and wires available that I'd like to connect:

  • Sega Saturn, with scart or component cables.
  • Nintendo 64, with scart
  • Sega Dreamcast, with VGA or scart (ideally I'd prefer.the scart input since I have a cable that selects between 240p or 480i modes.for.100% game compatibility
  • PS2, with component
  • Wii with component
  • Xbox 360, only HDMI at the moment but willing to buy component, VGA or whatever will work with my setup
  • Maybe a Nintendo Switch and/or Wii U if I can get that working for 720/1080i games

Hardware available: - OSSC, 1 VGA in, 1 Component in, 1 Scart in, one HDMI out - Shinybow 4x2 component switcher - Shinybow 1x1 scart to component switcher (I use this to connect my N64 scart into the 4x2 component switcher) - A shitty 4x1 auto scart switcher (might use if absolutely necessary but adds a ton of latency)

If it helps at all, I have a normal CRT currently with a ypbpr component input. I have the N64, Saturn, PS2 and Wii plugged into the Shinybow 4x2 switcher, which outputs to my OSSC and my CRT concurrently. My OSSC has the component/ypbpr and scart inputs used, with HDMI out. Obviously since I want to introduce the Xbox 360 and maybe Switch/Wii U into the fold, I might need an additional option to get those into the switching environment.

Some thoughts: - Could I get away outputting from HDMI and convert to VGA/BNC directly? Or would I need a converter to convert HDMI to component/RGB to play nicely with the BNC input on the PVM? - I've heard that some consoles don't play nicely when outputting 720p/1080i to the 20L5. Any tips here? - Ideally I'd like to use as much of my existing gear as possible, but any sort of equipment advice to get things running as smoothly as possible would be greatly appreciated.
