Keep in mind I've been playing a 720 p 60hz TV as my mode of experience.
Oh hi I'm supposed to get a pc very soon like in a month or two but I want to already start getting some games to take advantage of sales...
But I've been playing games on Xbox previously for the past 8ish years.
Games I found on steam that interest me are
Neccesse - bought it on sale too but seemed fun ESO - seemed cool too it was on sale and its eso. I got the game Hover because the art style looked poppy futuristic and cool and I dig high tec looks so I copped the sale again. Then I got State of mind because it seemed really cool and I enjoyed reading a cyberpunk book(snowcrash) and I like stories too so it seemed worth it.
I've really enjoyed
The original need for speed most wanted. It just felt cool and serious. Skate 2 cause the atmosphere was this orangey tint and a gritty mood but the setup together was a good package. Minecraft of course cause art style nice, but most importantly was the blocky sandbox element but it got boring. I also really liked the Original Kotor one and two. Going through the stories was like a slow adventure but I still have to finish the second one. It was mystical. I really enjoyed the original Battlefronts but I like the artstyle in battlefront 1 more than two going a bit more complex. - I tried to pick up both modern battlefronts but they just felt top grindy to get into or commit. Oh and then the campaign in the Original Spiderman 2. It was just so cool.
Now I've enjoyed indie games too before but on Xbox when I've bought them, because I had no friends that had them or would I wanted to refund a few because I ended up not liking them even though I thought I would... including
Hotshot Racing <a regret> It did seem really cool I followed their Twitter page and I had friends I played it with who had gamepass but it just got boring playing alone. Forza Horizon 4 <even though I had a friend who liked it, for me it felt kind of stale and so I got a little bored of what the point was> Descenders <because it was cool at first going with a friend but after a while it didn't feel like there was much to go through> I enjoyed the Crew 2 to an extent but after a while the grind felt boring and so did the pay wall or battlepass felt like nothing much. I did thoroughly enjoy Warframe to but the monetization in it felt annoying after a while having to pay for having room that weapon and the repititiveness.
But I do really like open world games and the idea of exploration.
Games I'm stuck with
No man's sky was cool too I really liked going to all the different planets but I didn't see much endgame to it that confused me and the complexity in the building system was a step too hard for me. So I kinda dropped it cause I wasn't sure what to do in it.
Then I kind of like Pacer too and it was cool and fun but after a while it felt a bit generic or wanna be. I thought it was cool and high tech but a but hard on Xbox.
I also really enjoyed Splitgate too. I thought it was really fun. It just was so cool going through the portals for trick shots or action. But then after a while I gave it a rest and i haven't felt much of a calling.
So games I put on my wishlist Postal 4 because I just love the thought of having fun in an "at ease" kick back kinda world getting to do whatever and it's vibe but it doesn't seem quote polish and it bums me there's no co op but I can't judge.
Lego SW Skywalker Saga. Seems really cool. I like the Star Wars games that were either casual or easy to get into...I played commando. Was fun and liked it.
Shredders (I'm a bit of a skier so it seems 😎cool) Terraria because it looks like it doesn't tell you to do much, I like the delivery with the pixel style and 2dness and exploring.
Planetside 2 and Garry's mod both seem like fun.
I put Borderlands 2 on there too but I'm skeptical.
And like yeah I do enjoy playing games. I'd just like an interesting one that offers me something or a perspective or artstyle in combo with something other games don't. Like original art. Do you guys have any suggestions?
