Blue screen from hdmi to av converter on TV

Hi sorry I’m new here. Need honest help.

I recently bought this av to hdmi converter so I can play on my Nintendo 64. Link is at the bottom.

When I hook it up, I only get a blue screen an nothing else. I tried changing to resolution between 720 and 1080 and still only get a blue screen. Tried changing hdmi cables and even another n64 av cable and it’s always a blue screen. Furthermore, I plugged the tv into my brothers tv and same exact result. Anyway to fix this? My Tv is a Samsung and my brothers is a Vizio if that matters.

Edit: when I unplug my n64 from the converter, the blue screen remains, it’s like the tv is reading the converter itself without registering my n64.

I was also thinking of buying a new tv or monitor to hook up for my Xbox series x (looking for either a 240hertz 4k tv or large monitor) Can the converter possibly work on these higher end tvs? Or buy a new converter? Or just give up?
