Anyone use XboxHD+ HDMI modded original Xbox with a capture card?

I recently purchased an original Xbox modded with the XboxHD+ HDMI mod. I route all my HDMI-capable devices through an Elgato 4K60 S+ for video capture. However, with this Xbox, some games seem to change resolution at certain points, and I get a black screen when routing via the Elgato. When loading Blinx, for example, the title screen displays fine via the Elgato, but when I go to the options screen, I get a black screen. Could this be a resolution change, that the Elgato can't handle? In the Xbox Video Output settings, I have Video Aspect set to Normal, and have Enable 1080i selected. In the Display > Appearance Settings, I have Resolution set to 1080i 16:9. However, the game doesn't seem to be honouring these settings, as when I load the game, my TV reports a resolution of 720 x 480 @ 60Hz. When I go to the Options screen, the screen goes black and the TV won't show any resolution details. Does anyone know what might be going on here? Is the game forcing an interlaced resolution on the option screen that the Elago can't handle, or is there some other issue?
