Series X vs Series S

Okay people I need some help wrapping my head around something.

I have had a Xbox Series X since January and yesterday we picked up a Series S for my son to play.

We fired up Grounded together and double checked our setting were equal. But his draw distance and sharpness of items in the distance is WAY Way better on the series S..... honestly the series S version looked better in every part of the game. The game was originally download on the X and copied to S with external hard drive.

Series X on 4K tv Series S on old 720 tv.

How is the series S handling this game better ?

The main thing was with the Crow you see for the Series S is was so clear from the juicebox and on the Series X it never got clear even when standing on the edge of the water.... I’m gonna start it up again soon and take some screenshots. I didn’t think to do that. I was so confused.
