Elgato and Switch streaming, what can I improve?

Hi all,

So I just bought the Elgato HD60 S Capture Card and I'm trying to run a Nintendo Switch Stream through OBS. On OBS it looks great, but the test stream is just awful. Jumpy. Freezing. Lagging. The worst that can go wrong.

My laptop on paper seems like it should be able to handle this according to the Elgato site. My hardware:

Windows 10, HP Spectre 360x Convertible, Intel i7-8550U CPU, 16 GB RAM, Intel UHD Graphics 620

Sure, it's not the best, but I didn't think it'd be this terrible.

The only other game I stream from my laptop is Spore which is just fine also using OBS (other games I use my Xbox Twitch app directly).

Is there any hope for me? I tried to run it at 720 and 30 fps, but still was bad. My voice and the game sound fine, it's the video smoothness and the freezing. I am running a wired connection through a USB-C Hub adapter.
