Seriously considering Xbox series x over pc, advice please

Hi guys.

Hope everyone is staying safe.

So I'm planning on getting a ps5 for well exclusives and occasionally some third party games but want to use my pc for Xbox exclusives and most third party games....

I likely won't be upgrading till summer next year at the earliest due to financial reasons but assuming parts are the same I was looking at the following-

-Rtx 3080 £720

• Ryzen 3700xt or 3800xt £300 to 350

New amd motherboard so £140 roughly...

Potentially might get new Amd card if it's better but either way looking at £1200 literally for a few parts...not to mention I should probably get a bigger SSD.

Series x is £450....

Now correct me if I'm wrong but series x is the equivalent of what a 2080? I know 3 years time the hardware will be outdated but if the series x maintains 60fps at 4k it's a steal. I'm assuming they have to be lowering the texture quality etc right? What sacrifices are they making?

I currently own a LG CX and a 2070 and short term running it at 1440p and it's fine but does anyone advise any other parts or offer an opinion on the series x ?

I love my pc and I know it's expensive hobby but do you reckon those 3 components would last a good 4 to 5 years? And outperform the series x?

Starting to question the insane amount of money it costs.... To performance
