Looking for input on whether or not my setup will work with the new Xbox Series X or if the receiver will be a bottleneck as far as performance.
I am mostly just targeting to be able to meet the following performance from the Series X:
- 4K/60hz
- 1440p/120hz (I'm not clear on this vs 1080p/120hz)
I also realize the Xbox could potentially meet 4k/120hz but my setup does not currently support HDMI 2.1 so I'm not really worried about that right now.
My Samsung Q70 65" can meet both specs.
My question is whether or not my Onkyo TX-RZ710 can meet these specs. I have found the HDMI specs in the user manual and it references 4k/60hz but I don't see anything around 120hz.
I suppose my other option may be to just connect the Xbox directly to the Samsung TV via HDMI and use ARC or optical for audio. What I'm not clear on is if I will be missing out on improved audio coming from the Xbox because I do not believe the Onkyo is eARC capable. Apologies for the long post... any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Edit1: Probably worth mentioning that my speaker setup is the Harmon Kardon HKTS 60 speakers and sub (room for improvement, I know). So just a 5.1 setup with no Atmos speakers for now.
