Hey y’all, I’m looking for some help on how to improve how my stream actually looks. I stream from my Xbox One using the Twitch app, and use a camera plugged into the Xbox itself. The quality is fine for the most part, there’s some slight sound delay but that’s bearable for now until I can figure other things out.
My main issue right now is something that’s been happening in my past few streams. I mostly play Dead By Daylight, with some other games here and there, and whenever I’m getting chased or in a chase, the quality drops tremendously. Like there’s too much happening on my screen and it gets extremely choppy. When I’m sitting at the menu, it’s fine. In game, it becomes an issue from time to time and the quality is just ugly. It lags completely or just looks really bad at times.
I’m not sure if it’s my Xbox (I have the original Xbox One as I wasn’t able to upgrade), but my internet is fine so I don’t know if it would be that. I’ve tried turning the stream resolution down as well from 1080 to 720, but it’s only like a band aid to the problem at hand. I feel like my stream was mostly fine up until recently (or at least I didn’t notice the problem being too bad). Anybody have any advice on how to get consistent quality on the stream?
Thanks all in advance for any help!
