I'm trying to decide on a new living room TV for my apartment. I had previously asked around with a much lower budget, but the movers that broke my last TV are giving me more than I expected. I use the TV mostly for gaming and watching sports, and the room can get kind of bright. I will also be getting a next gen Xbox.
First off I am unsure between a 55 and 65 inch TV. My viewing distance is 8-9ft and that's the max it will be in my apartment, so I had been thinking 55 inch would be plenty and I could get a better TV with the money. Here are the TVs I have been looking at that I can actually find in stock, but throw in any other good options! Like I said, I'd like to stay close to a $1k budget, because I also have to replace a broken audio receiver.
- Sony x950g 55": $921 "excellent" open box.
- Sony x900h 55": $1k and only HDMI 2.1 option
- Samsung Q80r 55": $720 "satisfactory" open box.
- Vizio Px 65": $980 at Costco
- Wait for the 2020 Vizio lineup to actually release and hope it's soon/ affordable
