Don't get me wrong, I'd like to, but I don't really have the best setup to do so. I'm on an Xbox with a controller (have no M&K) on an old 720p TV I bought way back in highschool.
I'd love to try planes but I don't want to let the team down since I'd just be fodder anyway. I got yelled at last night because I spawned in a tank (when I apparently should've spawned in a plane then according to this person). I got a kill, but I still kinda felt bad because I knew we were getting spawn camped, but spawning into it was my only option other than leave early.
I can't figure out a good control scheme for planes, and aiming in an SPAA, and even target identification in RB is difficult on a 720. I decided when I started that I just wouldn't play them so I could be a better - more effective - teammate.
However it does really limit some of my options. I look at the Japanese tree, and see that I'd only have like one, maybe two, tanks per BR to play. Even though I'd like to try them I'd feel bad if I only brought 1 tank in that was effective and then die early - basically waste a spot on the team. I have a US line up with three 3.7s and an M24, so at least I get a second chance with it.
If anyone has suggestions on decent setups for plane controls though I'd be willing to try them.
